Nikki POV
I open my eyes but Luke isn't here. I sit up and rub my sleepy eyes before swinging my legs out of bed and walking to the bathroom. I wash up and walk downstairs to see Abby.
"Hi Aunt Nikki." she says. I smile and give her a hug. "Daddys in the kitchen." I nod and walk to the kitchen to see him standing at the counter. I walk over to him and and wrap my arms around his big chest.
"Morning, I wanted to surprise you with a nice breakfast." he says. I smile as he turns around and gives my a long kiss.
"That was better." I whisper making him smile. "Whats our plan for today?"
"Well, I'm not sure. You could help me outside." he says. I nod and sit down. "Abby wants a treehouse, can you build?"
"Yeah, I could do that if you help me." I say. He nods and gets back to cooking.
"Nicole, if you really want me as your third mate than we have to talk to your family." he says. I sigh and look down. "I know you don't want to but we have too." he kneels down in front of me.
"I know and we will. What will Inny say? She's gonna hate me." I say. He lifts my chin so I make eye contact. I love it when he does that.
"No she won't. Just wait and see." he leans in and presses his soft, warm lips to mine.
"You know, the same thing happened with Josh and Jennifer." I say after he pulls away. "They love eachother and they're mates."
"Oh, thats different." he says. I nod and stand up. "I'll call you when breakfast is ready." I leave just as the door bell rings. I open and see Alex.
"Mom! I knew you'd be here." she says jumping into my arms. "We're worried and we heard that Eric hit you."
"Alexandra, why are you here?" I ask letting her in.
"I was worried mom. I missed you." she says. I sigh and hug her again. "Please don't leave us."
"What?! I would never in my whole life leave you. I just needed a few days to cool off." I say. She nods just as Luke walks in.
"Hi uncle Luke." she says. He nods and points to the kitchen. "Can I stay for breakfast?"
"Sure, I made too much anyway." he says. We all eat breakfast and sit in the living room.
"Alex, I need to tell you something." I say. She nods and leans forward. "Luke and I. We're in a relationship."
"What do you mean relationship?" she asks. I sigh and look at Luke.
"We're in love and want to become mates." he says. She gasps but stays calm.
"But mom, dad and uncle Eric are your mates." she says.
"But I feel this love for Luke as well. I can't fight it." I say. She nods and smiles.
"Thats fine, I know we can't pick our mates." she says. That went well. She stays with us the rest of the day and tomorrow is the time I face my family.
