Black Widow Dies (Avengers FanFic)

This scene sets place in the end battle scene of The Avengers, with black widow at the top of stark building when Iron Man has just thrown the bomb into the alien portal.

They had done it! The battle was finally over! Everyone was ok, thankfully. Although Iron Man did give everyone a little bit of a shock for a moment. Everyone thought he might have...well...you know...died. But it was fine now the Avengers have saved the day! No more Loki, no more alie------

WAIT! NOO! Spoke too soon.

As a furious alien attacked Black Widow! For once caught by surprise the raging alien swung his leg to hit her in the back of her knees. The force being soo strong it even made her feet come off the ground and fling into the air. Tripping her up so she falls onto her back, she tries to skilfully flick up off her back, back onto her feet. In her attempt, she failed.

Before she could even get a little bounce, she was stabbed in the stomach. Right through the middle.

Shirring pain was all she could feel as the blood greedy alien pulled her up off the ground hanging her over the side of the Stark building. Holding her in the air like a trophy he giggled her off his spear, letting her fall to her impending doom.

As black widow’s body raced down the side of the building and through the air she glanced longingly, for what she thought would be the last time she got to set her eyes on the man who stole her heart. And at that time he glanced back. Both mesmerised in each other’s eyes, they couldn’t look away. The great Captain America who always wore a fierce face when working on the field started to crumble. His soul breaking into little pieces like bread crumbs. For once the mask he used to hide his fear had finally come off and he was terrified.

Time it’s self seemed to freeze as these two intertwined secret lovers stared passionately at one another. Their faces full of wanting. Wanting that this wouldn’t be the end. The end of all that they had together and what they were going to have.

But it is impossible for time freeze. Time can only keep going, keep moving forward. Like time she kept moving forward. Closer and closer to the ice cold gray death that waited right below her.
