Ch.17: New Dragons Pt.3

The next day after Ivy trained Chameleon...........

Hiccup was talking to Conner, thinking of a way to rescue Astrid and Aliana, Hiccup said, "While Dakota, Dagur, the twins, Snotlout, and Throck distract the flyers and hunters, you, Fishlegs, Heather, Mala, Atali, Ivy, Hannah, and I will get in and rescue Astrid and Aliana." Conner looked at Hiccup, "They'll be heavily guarded. Dakota walked over to them, "Well, maybe if we have Stoick, Spitelout, Alvin, and the A-team deal with the guards, you'll have a better chance of rescuing Astrid and Aliana." Conner nodded, "That might actually work." One of Mala's warriors ran over to them, "Queen Mala requests your presence." The three nodded and followed the warrior.

Dakota, Hiccup, and Conner walked into the room, where they saw Mala and Dagur kissing. Dakota cleared his throat. Mala and Dagur jumped and turned around and blushed. Mala said, "Hello there you three." Hiccup looked at them, "What is it?" Mala said, "A pair dragon hunter ships was spotted near our island, Dagur said that he would accompany you all to deal with it." Conner said, "We're on it.", and walked out with Hiccup, Dakota, and Dagur.

Hiccup looked at Dakota, Dagur, Conner, and the other riders, "Ok, when we find the ships, go for the winches, then we'll free any dragons they've captured." Everyone nodded and followed Hiccup as they flew towards the south side of the island. Dakota saw the ships, "Found them!" Hiccup yelled, "Ok, give it everything we've got!" Heather, Ivy, Hannah, and  Lakeisha started attacking one of the ships while the others gave them cover fire. Dakota and Dagur jumped off of Sleuther and Flame and landed on the ship the girls were attacking and engaged the hunters in sword combat. Hiccup and Toothless blasted the cages and freed several Gronckles and Deadly Nadders. Dakota and Dagur got to their dragons and flew away from the ship as the girls destroyed it, leaving the hunters stranded. The twins had already sank the other ship. Hiccup said, "Let's take these hunters prisoner." Dakota then noticed a lot of bubbles coming from where the twins destroyed the other ship, "Was there any dragons on there?" Tuffnut said, "No, just a cage and hunters." Dakota said, "Well obviously, there was something in that cage!", he then stood on Flame's back and held his knife between his teeth. Hannah looked at Dakota, "What are you doing?" Dakota smiled and jumped off of Flame, straight into the water. Lakeisha and Ivy got ready to go after him until Hiccup said, "Wait!"

Dakota swam towards the cage, when he got up to it, he saw that a Thunderdrum was trapped in it. He held his knife in his hand, the Thunderdrum growled at him. Dakota  stopped and stuck his hand in the cage and calmed the Thunderdrum down. The Thunderdrum stopped growling and Dakota stuck his knife in the lock, moving it around, trying to pick the lock. After several minutes, the lock finally came off, Dakota opened the door and the Thunderdrum looked at him. Dakota smiled until an arrow hit him in the shoulder, he turned around to see several hunters swimming towards him.

Hiccup was getting worried as Dakota wasn't surfacing, "Ok, something's wrong." Conner nodded, "We have to help him." But before they could move, the water exploded, Dakota came flying out of the water, riding a Thunderdrum. Hiccup looked at Dakota, "Why are you riding a Thunderdrum?" Dakota smiled, "I made a new friend." Lakeisha flew over to them, "We better get these hunters in a cell." Dakota and Hiccup nodded before the riders took the hunters prisoner. Dakota said, "Oh yeah, I'm going to call him Thunder." Hiccup chuckled and flew back to Caldera Cay with the other riders.
