"Come on. Let's go home." Danny spoke softly, as I was still crying in his arms. He picked me up bridal style and walked towards the car, while whispering soothing words in my ears. I calmed down, but my mind seemed to feel the need to argue with itself.
Jordan, why can't you just be normal? Why do you have to cry?
Well, sorry for being a hormonal teenager.
You're stupid.
Okay, so maybe I did overreact a little..
A LITTLE?!
Shut up, you're basically me!
Well I wish I wasn't, because you are stupid!
Can you just shu-
"Are you okay? You seem a little.. distracted.." Danny sounded worried.
"Yeah it's okay. It's just my inner voice telling me that I'm stupid."
My eyes widened and my hands flew up to hide my face in them as I realized how stupid I just sounded. Danny flashed me a smile.
"You're too cute." He then kissed my forehead. All the noises from around me faded as my eyelids gave up the battle I didn't know they were fighting.
I woke up from the sound of a door bell, piercing through the front door like it wasn't even there. I blinked a couple times. I saw some strands of my hair randomly falling over my face. I felt strong arms around me. Danny was carrying me again.
"Hey." Troye opened the door with a smile. His eyes focused on me and his smile faded, his eyes widened and his jaw tensed. His eyes shot to Danny and narrowed. "WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?!"
Danny was obviously startled by the question. "I-I.."
"Troye." I softly spoke. His eyes shot to me, concern took over his face. He roughly pulled me out of Danny's arms and carried me to my room. I heard Danny close the front door. A sigh from behind us caused Troye to stop in his tracks to send a death glare to Danny. Danny threw his hands up in defense.
Troye lay me down on the bed and pulled the blankets over my exhausted body. He gave me a kiss on my forehead. Danny stood in the doorway with his hands in his pockets, he looked concerned and a bit afraid.
"Danny, what happened to her?" He spoke through gritted teeth. He walked over to Danny and pointed accusingly to his face. I struggled to sit up, not sure of what Troye would do next and whether I should do something. He could be a bit unpredictable. "I swear to god, if you did this I will make your life a living hell!"
Danny's scared expression turned into an angry one. "I didn't do anything! Why would you think that?!" Tears sprung in his eyes.
"Oh save it. We're talking about my little sister here. Don't miss with her! She's my everything!" His hands curled up into fists. "Everything.." He whispered
"Troye.." I was barely audible. He turned around slowly, revealing the tears in his eyes. "He didn't do anything." I told him. He nodded and wiped his tears away. He walked over to me. He hugged me tightly and sobbed into me.
"You are my everything, Jordan."
Troye and I have always been close. But everything changed after that day.
It was a stormy night. My parents were out. I climbed into Troye's bed to comfort me by hugging him, since I was afraid of the thunder.
Smash!
Tears flowed over my face, causing Troye to pull me even closer to him.
"It'll be alright. It's just a little thunder." But I could see the horror in his eyes.
