“It has been two years, hasn’t it?” I asked the doctor. The doctor looked at his clipboard silently. “Something bad is going to happen, isn’t it?” The doctor replied, “You just sit tight. Everything is going to be fine.” He walked out the room; I could see the stress on his face. There I am lying in the hospital doing nothing about what happened two years ago. It was a beautiful night. I was with my girlfriend and my family having a great time at the amusement park when it all happened. There were screeching screams. I could see blood splattering everywhere as I felt a sharp pain in my leg and everything went black. The next thing I knew I was in the hospital and I received a report that everyone in my family had died. I think I am over it now, but at the time I was very devastated. I have tried to escape the hospital to meet them, if you know what I mean. It’s already midnight. I thought of sleeping but I just can’t close my eyes. I have to get revenge for my family. I have to go back. I can’t stay here any longer. Suddenly, a loud beep came from the right side. I looked over and realized that my heartbeat had stopped. “It finally happened,” I thought as I grinned. “Maybe God has given me a second chance to avenge my family. There is no time to lose,” I thought as I jumped out the window.
Everything around me seems so clear. Running forward at what seemed like 100 miles per hour, my body feels like it is giving up on me. Every second feels like I am being stabbed with hundreds of needles, but my body is regenerating all of the harm being done. As I arrived at my old apartment, I could see my door was taped down. I ripped through the tape as if it was tissue and turned on the TV immediately. Not to my surprise, there had been a zombie apocalypse spreading from New York City towards Texas. “So that’s where I am headed”, I thought. I made a list of things I would do in order to make this work. I looked down into my hands and the first thing was to get equipment, lots of equipment. I took a stroll down to the Japanese exhibit in the museum. It was around two o’clock; I broke down the doors and quickly grabbed a Katana then disappeared into the shadows. I doubt the camera was able to catch me as it took about point two seconds for all this to happen. But of course the alarm went off and I had to escape. Next I needed guns. I went to the closest weapon shop and got dual 69 caliber Desert Eagles. I was set, I thought if I ever lived through this, I would write a book about my adventures. As I got into my family’s car, I realized that it would be faster just to run. So I began my adventure to avenge my family and give those zombies a piece of my mind.
