Tension built for years, growing bigger and bigger. Old transgressions got brought back alive, grudges flared into view, alliances dwindled, and no one was surprised when everything finally fell apart. The West side left deciding they wanted nothing more to do with the crumbling politics and pathetic squabbles. That, of course, left the East Side enraged threatening they would not be allowed to succeed without a fight. Determined, the newly elected Head of State drew her boundaries anyways, and at that point, all hell broke loose.

People were ripped from their homes in order to return fire and push the boundaries back. A blood red line was drawn on every map cutting through Minnesota all the down to Louisiana where the front lines rage against each other. It became known as the Line of Massacre, for obvious reasons and soon enough, the government crumbled.

Three heads of power rose from their ashes- Major General Burke as leader of the Building of Army Intelligence, Major General Avery for the Home of Political Engagement, and Major General Navabi of TOMA, the Tower of Military Advancements. To regulate their authority, the Table was formed. It consisted of prestigious individuals from each of the states on the East Side who oversaw any movements made by the three.

No one knew who to trust; children were never safe; all public schools or recreational places soon shut down. Ration tickets were handed out for the few courageous enough to brave a trip to the nearest supermarket. To consolidate panic, the internet and all social media got blocked off. Any entertainment shows were taken off the air for lack of funding, and the nation as everyone had known it changed. Each side gained allies from different world powers causing the title to be earned, The Third War.

The first bombings came three years ago, and they are still going on as violent as ever.
