Leaving the factory, I noticed the children that I had lead out, they were sitting around a small make shift fire as the Rooks gave them blankets and water; some of the regret seemed to have lifted, I was able to help these children and now they could probably have a better life. "What's going to happen to the children now?" I muttered trying to get my voice back as Jacob lead me to the horse cart,

"They will be looked after by my Rooks, sent home or they will go and work for Clara along with the other urchins." He explains as he smacks one of his bigger looking Rooks on the shoulder, moving aside he let us get to the cart. Jacob waved his hands at the chair and allowed me to get on first, he jumped on shortly after: Heart still racing I ended up scrunching up the ends of my skirt, trying to calm myself down, "I didn't mean for my Rooks to miss the blighters, I honestly trusted them to not mess up," shaking my head I looked away, watching the town travel past us, "Maybe next time I cou.."

"Next time?!" swinging my head back at him, he sat there holding his mouth open as if he wasn't expecting my reaction to be so shocked "I don't think so! As soon as my father sees me like this, this will be my first and last time going outside by myself!" with a sudden jolt the horse and cart halted in its place as Jacob looked at me "First time? How old does he think you are? This was the first time out by yourself?!"

"He has his reasons! And yes, as much as I hate it I don't really have a choice!" his eyes seem to open in pure amazement, "So he keeps you locked up in your room?"

"What? NO!" I snapped, shocked that he would jump to such a conclusion

"He isn't keeping me prisoner, I do go out. He just has... to be... with me..." I mumble, unsure if I was making it sound like I was his hostage and not his daughter, "He loves me... He's just trying to protect me..." I add on, crossing my arms and looking off in front trying to avoid any eye contact, soon the cart began to move and let out a sigh, "If you drop me off at Whitechapel market I can walk the rest of the way.." the rest of the trip was quiet and to be honest I enjoyed It and prefer it, it made it a lot quicker as he parked the cart letting me jump off, "Thank you, it was very... adventurous," he seemed to give me a strange look but it shifted to a some what cocky smirk when he noticed my smile, "Maybe you could help out with the next run..."

"I don't think so," I laughed at his persistence, but he just chuckled and tipped his hat at me,

"Then maybe I shall see you walking around London then, Miss (Last Name)" and like that he left. Taking a deep breath my eyes followed him, remembering I had to breath I gasped as soon as he was out of sight. Rubbing the bridge of my nose I began to slowly stroll back home, preparing myself for a scolding...
