chapter one: tumblr girls and their instagrams.
first off instagram is NOT tumblr so if you're a tumblr account on INSTAGRAM then you aren't very clever.
now throughout my time on instagram I've come across a few accounts we refer to as 'tumblr accounts' - i have no idea why since it's not tumblr-. anyway, I have a lot of problems with these account.
1. excessive emoji use-
this is very common in the online life of a 'tumblr girl'. in their bios you may see something like this:

Tumblr Girl💁
Megan💄Emily💚Rachel = Besties 4 ever❤️
Like 4 Like💛
Follow 4 Follow🎀
this is what I'm actually seeing. Now I'm not saying emojis are bad. I'm just saying don't use this many. It's stupid and i definitely won't be following you anytime soon.
2.Hashtags
it's not only tumblr girls who use more hashtags than necessary. But they do it in the most stupid way. Here's an example of what I'm seeing:
#justgotbackfromshoppingsotiredomgbutitwasfun
who the hell is going to find your pictures under that hashtag! Hashtags are meant to help people find your pictures. Here's another example:
#tumblr#girl#girly#fun#yay#love#pink#follow#like#shoutout#selfie#niallhoran#lol#yolo#besties#laugh#smile
yes you're using hashtags people will actually find you under but you're also using too many. three or four would be okay. And then they decide to throw a celebrity's name in there. Last time i checked they weren't famous. You shouldn't put hashtags that have nothing to do with your picture.
3. Follow back
In a tumblr girls bio you'll usually see something like:
Follow 4 follow
or
Team Follow Back
then you look at their followers - 2000
then their followings - 100
OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T FOLLOW BACK!!! who are you trying to fool??!?!
