Chapter 4
Gaige
"What are you doing?" I say as I pull back from Johanna, walking past her and slam the door behind me. I hear her call for me, but I just walk downstairs.
I see my mom ordering around people for things that need to be fixed as she walks up to me.
"Where is Johanna, I sent her up to see you" She says with a smile.
"She's upstairs" I say walking down the hall.
"Gaige what's wrong" My mom says putting her hand on my shoulder to stop me from going outside.
"What's wrong is that you're still trying to get me and her back" I say going out to the garden.
Taking in a breath of fresh air makes me relax and seeing the view makes me somewhat happy. I see from the corner of my eyes that Johanna approaches me.
"Gaige I'm sorry" she says, hugging me.
I don't say anything, just stand there and listening to the light music playing in the background
"Gaige, say something"
"What do you expect me to say?"
"I don't know, maybe talk about us"
"Us?" I say giving her a questioning look
"I miss you" she says looking into my eyes
"If I recall it right, you were the one cheating on me with my best friend" I say angrily
"I'm sorry, I can't change the past, but I can change for us"
"I don't know" I say walking back into the ballroom.
I walk up to my room and put my phone in my pocket and my watch on my wrist and walk down the stairs seeing people starting to come. I start to greet everyone and see my brothers on the other side talking to some people.
"Hey man" my best friend Graham says.
"I'm so done with this"
Graham has been like my brother since I was born, my mom and his are like best friends. It's kind of sick that we've been like this for 18 years now.
"What happened?"
"Johanna happened" I say drinking up the champagne in my glass.
"What do you mean" He asks, looking questionable.
"She came to me saying that she misses me" I say, reaching out for another glass.
"It's too early to get drunk man" he says as he takes the glass from me.
More people storm in and we start to mingle again until I notice the one girl I didn't expect showing up. Green eyes, Hazel Brown hair in a slightly messy updo that makes her look even more sexier. Tan skin with the perfect curves covered by the red dress. It's a long dress, going down on her shoulder with a slit going a little further up her knees. She scans the room until her eyes meet mine. She's even more beautiful than I remember, I don't know If that's even possible.
I hear my name being said, but I can't stop looking at her, especially her bright green eyes. I've seen green eyes before, but never like hers.
"Gaige" Johanna says, throwing her arms around my neck, making me look at her for just a second.
When I look back, the girl is gone. I pull away from Johanna. I scan the room to find her and notice her standing with her mother and some old woman I've never seen and I wait for her to walk away.
"What are you doing" Graham ask me as he hands me another glass of champagne.
"Just looking around" I say, trying to act normal
"Something is up with you" He says suspiciously
I look back and notice her gone again. She's on her way out to the garden I guess. I take the way around as she goes through the crowd of people. I'm lucky to be 6 feet because she's so short, the crowd around her makes it almost impossible to spot. Guess she didn't grow that much since I last saw her. I stand At the side of the door as I see her coming out of the crowd, She's on her way out as I stand before her, looking directly at her. She looks up not saying anything.
"Long time no see, green" I say with a smirk on my face
"Koch" She says, looking directly into my eyes
"Pessina"
