"Shane, didn't we already do a haunted hotel video?" Drew asked as the "Spooky Boys", as they were dubbed, gathered around the fire pit to discuss today's spooky topic.
"And you didn't even stay the whole night!" Garrett added, his voice slightly muffled from a mouthful of chipotle. Once he swallowed he continued, "Drew and I did and nothing really spooky happened... Except that stupid speaker prank Drew pulled."
Shane laughed, snorting as usual, and continued to set up the camera. "This time it's really going to be haunted and spooky, promise." He sat on the bench across from the chairs the other two were in and switched the camera on. "I booked us room 79 at the Chateau Marmont. Apparently of all the rooms at the Marmont room 79 is believed to be the most active. Guests have seen a floating head outside the window and seen other ghosts that appear to be knocking on the door. Items such as furniture and other personal belongings have been moved around the room with no explanation." He told them in a low, raspy voice to add to the creep factor.
"Maybe it's just the Postmates bringing them food." Drew commented when Shane mentioned the knocking ghosts, sending the group into a fit of laugher.
"Drew," Garrett said between laughs, "This is supposed to be spooky!"
"Anyways," Shane continued after the laughter had died enough for him to speak, "We're gonna go and check it out, see if we can get the ghosts to move anything, ask some questions and try and get some responses. Sound fun?"
The other two "Spooky Boys" nodded. "But, can we get Taco Bell first?" Garrett questioned as his stomach growled a bit, making the group roll their eyes and laugh.
After a trip to a local Taco Bell drive thru, the Spooky Boys pulled up to The Chateau Marmont, and checked in. Within moments, Shane had his camera out and was recording Drew and Garrett goofing off as they went to their room.
Once inside, they scanned their surroundings. Typical hotel room so far. Clean sheets, freshly made bed, mints on the pillows, white towels, travel toiletries and, of course, mini bar.
"It's nice!" Garrett exclaimed as the camera panned onto his face while he admired not only the room but the view. "At least there's no ghost plasma on the ceiling this time, right guys?"
"I just hope there's no ghosts in the bathroom again. I don't need the lights flickering while I'm trying to pee." Drew said as he scanned the minibar, smiling as Garrett and Shane laughed.
Some time passed while they filmed their antics and before they could say Spooky Boys, it was dark out and Shane was getting ready to leave.
"There you have it guys, The Chateau Marmont's most haunted room. We had a lot of fun filming this!" Shane said as he filmed his outro.
'Once again,' Garrett thought slightly annoyed, 'not much for the spook factor.' Just as he finished that thought, Shane finished his outro and said his goodbyes for the evening.
Once Shane had left, Drew glanced around again and jumped as a shadowy figure passed him in the mirror and a book fell off the end table. "Maybe the ghost just doesn't like cameras..." He joked, trying to seem less scared than he was.
"Hmm?" Garrett turned and looked at him, raising an eyebrow quizzically. "What are you..." He trailed off as he saw the book on the carpeted floor and lightly shivered, feeling a cold hand on his back. "I...think you may be right Drew...'
[Alrighty my Sushi babes, here is an intro chapter to my Shyland and Wattson fic! I really hope you enjoy it and parts 2 and possibly 3 should be out by this evening or tomorrow!]
