A/N: Whoo. So I'm finally sixteen. I was going to update tomorrow, but I figured I'd do it today. This chapter feels extra long for some reason...
“Dinner,” Alexis said as she dropped two plates down in front of Kelsey and I.
“Thanks,” we both said as we grabbed our forks and poked the noodle-like things on our plates.
“Cody cooked,” Alexis said. “Cody can’t cook.”
The three of us laughed and Kelsey nudged me, “How are your powers?” she asked.
I shrugged, “I pretty sure I accidentally smacked Camron with a tree branch when he made me laugh, but it’s been cooperating.”
“That was you?” Camron asked as he sat down across from Kelsey and I.
“I think,” I said, ducking my head. “Sorry.”
Camron grinned and nudged me with his knee, “It’s okay,” he said. “You’re still learning to not kill anyone.”
I laughed, “Thanks, that’s comforting.”
“Good,” Camron said, still grinning.
Kelsey smacked Camron’s leg and rolled her eyes, “Shut up,” she said.
Camron nodded, “Shutting up.”
Alexis shook her head, “Weirdos.”
“They’re not weird. They’re special,” I said as Seth walked over to us and sat down between Alexis and I. “What’s up?” I asked him.
“Alison’s driving me nuts,” Seth mumbled.
“How nuts?” Camron asked.
Seth sighed, “I’ve been thinking about eating in the woods.”
Kelsey laughed, “Should I talk to her?”
Seth shook his head and I bumped our shoulders, “I could-”
“No, you couldn’t,” Seth said, cutting me off and making us laugh. “Shut up, eat your mush.”
“At least it isn’t burned,” Trip said as he walked over and sat next to Camron.
“I like burned food,” Camron mumbled. “Lee makes food burn when he blow it up.”
