"Ring ring ring" I heard my alarm clock start blaring out its ungodly sounds. Today would be my first day at Forks High School since I moved here a week ago. I slowly sat up and reached around beside me. I quickly found the thing I was looking for, my black skull paci. I slipped it into my mouth as I began to get ready for my day.

I put on one of my favorite outfits, grabbed my bag, while quickly putting Sniggles, my vampire cat stuffie, and my paci inside, and started the short walk to school. Luckily I had memorized where almost every building in this town was including the different sections of the high school. I slipped in some earbuds and hit shuffle. The Forgotten by Green Day came on as I walked. I arrived at school before the song even ended but I still had about 30 minutes to kill before I had to go to the office to get my schedule. I decided to at least head towards the office building and sit outside until about five minutes till class starts.

It was a hazy day with just the slight pitter-patter of raindrops to keep you company since the sun had long since gone on vacation. I listened to about three more songs while twiddling about on my phone. I looked up and saw that the parking lot had filled up quite a bit. I began a small scan of the area but my attention was quickly taken hostage by five beautiful beings.

My eyes quickly started cataloging their features one by one. I had always been good at reading people and it sometimes freaked people out how observant I could be. As an example, I could tell that the first two beings I observed were together simply by their posture and movements. The first male was rather brutish with large muscles rippling underneath his button-up shirt. The first female was by far the most beautiful of the lot if you were analyzing them by the world's standards. She had long blond hair that fell in soft waves framing an angelic face.

I moved on to the next male in the group. I could tell by the slight distance between him and the others that he was naturally a loner. He had messy bronze hair with a sharply outlined face. He was unusual in a way that made me want to question him. I wanted to know why he was alone and why he had a very well hidden sense of longing in his eyes. He gazed towards the center of the lot, almost directly towards an old rusted truck. I saw the figure of a woman inside and knew he wanted to be beside her but for some hidden reason, he couldn't. A reason I was instantly curious to find out.

I decided to focus on the next two beings in the group. As soon as I locked my eyes on them, I swear the whole world stopped (and stared for awhile). They were perfect in every aspect. From the way that the females midnight black hair framed a mischievous pixie face to the way the honey-blond curls of the male gave him an air of southern charm. From the way the males' tall lanky form complemented the females' small agile looking body. I knew instantly that I wanted them. Both of them to be here beside me. I wanted to be theirs. But I also knew that I would never get that chance.

I broke from my trance and jumped when the bell suddenly rang. I turned towards the office door but before I entered, I took one last look at the beautiful couple. As I turned towards the door I locked eyes with the loner and I saw him frown and glance towards the rusted truck and back at me in disbelief. I shrugged to myself and entered the office to grab my schedule. The lady greeted me rather coldly and I knew that she disapproved of me. Whether it was my hair, my outfit, or even my attitude, I honestly did not care. I was, no am, used to being thrown aside as trash because I had always been treated this way.

I had never once found a single person who treated me with respect and kindness. Everyone seemed to instantly hate me, my clothing choices, my calm, collected, and disinterested attitude, and especially my calculating eyes. I couldn't help what I liked and what my normal way of life was. I rarely smiled, or to be honest, showed any emotion other than boredom or curiosity.
