"Ana! You're late!" Miguel exclaimed the moment I walked into the store. "I'm really sorry, the bus was late." I said apologetically. He nodded in understanding before returning his attention to the customer he had been helping. Miguel is my boss. As most people know, Miguel isn't exactly a Korean name. That's because Miguel isn't Korean. He, like me, is from North America. Although he's from Mexico City and I'm from Chicago.

Both Miguel and I are fluent in Korean, English, and Spanish. This makes it extremely helpful with the store since it's in the heart of Itaewon. Itaewon is known to attract foreigners and famous people. Therefore it is always extremely crowded.

The store is a music store selling anything and everything music related. I started working here around six months ago after being offered the job from Miguel, who lives in the same building as me.

I walked into the back room that's closed off for staff only and placed my coat on the rack behind the door. I quickly placed my purse down on the table and rushed back out to the front of the store to greet customers.

After only two hours into my shift I already was in desperate need of a coffee. I usually start off my mornings with one but today I didn't have enough time to stop by the cafe I usually go to.

"Well you look dead." David joked as he saw the melancholy expression I wore on my face. David is one of the other employees. He was born in Korea to two Korean parents but moved to England at the age of five.

I nodded in response as I looked around the store tiredly. David was about to add another comment but Miguel's yell from across the store stopped him. "David! Help Ji Won with checkout! Ana! Tune the guitars!" He yelled. "Okay boss." David replied immediately.

I walked over to the drawers next to the cash registers and pulled out the tuner before heading over to the guitar wall.

I grabbed the first guitar and sat on the stool as I started to tune. About half an hour later, I was on the last guitar. Even though was a basic brand and was much cheaper than many of the other guitars, this one was my favorite. It was a beautiful dark turquoise acoustic-electric guitar. It also happened to be the exact same model as the one I had back home. I liked it so much since it was so beautiful. Plus it was my favorite color.

Even though the look is not nearly as important as the sound or quality of it, I still couldn't help but love this specific guitar.

Once I was finished tuning, I couldn't help but play a song. Thankfully, Miguel doesn't mind if we play any instruments in the store as long as it's not the drums or we don't use amplifier. Basically, nothing too loud so that we don't disturb the customers.

As I began to strum the chords of IU's "Through The Night", a felt a smile start to creep it's way into my face. Music always causes this reaction in me. It just makes me happy. It makes me smile, cry, laugh, sleep, listen, think, etc. It constantly evokes so many different emotions in me. It has seen me on my good days, and it's seen me on my bad days. It truly is part of me. Some may say it's like the oxygen they need to breathe into their lungs in order to survive. I partially agree with that statement. However, to me it's even more that. It's not just something that I bring into my body, it's part of it. Almost like another organ. While of course the human anatomy would clearly disagree, I don't really care. Xray's may not show it, but I sure as hell feel it and so I choose to believe in it.

Once I finished the song I placed the tuner in my back pocket and got up to place the guitar back on the wall. "You're voice is really pretty." A voice said behind me. I jumped in freight and almost even dropped the guitar. Luckily I had quick reflexes. I turned around with my free hand clutching my heart. I saw two guys who were both hidden behind large hats, mask, and sunglasses. Their appearances weren't shocking since many celebrities come to Itaewon and often need to hide their identities. That then caused many others to start to follow the trend and dress similarly as well.
