[Five Years Later: 2017]
"Let's wrap this up" one of the directors announced as all the boys lined up in front of the camera. "Everyone, RUN BTS will continue. Thanks for watching, we'll see you next week" Hoseok said as the lights coming out of the cameras and all the equipment nearly blinded him. "Thank you, guys. You may leave now" the director said, allowing the seven boys to walk away after having filmed an episode of their new game series: RUN BTS. It was passed midnight and both the crew and the guys really needed to rest. They used to film the show during afternoons, but that had changed after Taehyung, now known as V, was casted for a *K- drama. Due to his constant traveling to the filming set, their schedules have been altered to fit the filming sessions Tae needed to attend. While the six members hadn't been really thrilled about the changes, they were really supportive of V's acting work, always telling him to do his best and watching all the episodes that had already aired.
They got into the van with tired faces and a few sighs, they were definitely ready to cease the day. Hoseok, now under the artistic name of J Hope, took his usual seat next to the window with Jimin next to him. As the car drove away, Jimin leaned his head on Hobi's shoulder, apparently feeling too sleepy to wait until they arrived home. Hoseok quickly wrapped his arm around the younger's shoulders and covered him with the forgotten jacket that laid on his lap. This was exactly how it had been for J Hope everyday for the past five years. In love with one of his bandmates and unable to tell him. Jimin was his everything. It was almost like he lived for his sweet dongsaeng. He loved him to no end, there was absolutely no line he would not cross for Park Jimin. Whenever he sang a love song, it was Jimin who he was singing it for. Whenever his chest hurt, it was Jimin who it was aching for. His feelings for the vocalist were too big to even be described with words. Probably too big to even be called love, but he was unsure if there was another greater word that could describe what he felt.
One would think that after five years, he would've already been brave enough to confess, reality was completely different. Why? Well, there was no possible way Jimin had any sort of interest in him. How was he so sure? Well, even though it didn't look like it, even though their publicists would hide that fact for good and even though Hoseok himself chose to ignore it, Jimin was quite a ladies' man. Don't get him wrong, Jimin was no playboy, but the guy was fully aware that he was attractive and so he was as flirtatious as a young adult like him could be. J Hope had already lost track of how many times he had found stylists, make- up artists or even female idols wearing something that belonged to Jimin, and no, they did not steal those things. Jimin gave them away as presents.
There was no girl who could possibly resist to him and Hoseok believed that Jimin knew that perfectly well. Several times, he had also found the younger kissing one of the lucky girls he chose. If they took that further? Hoseok was not sure and being honest, he didn't want to know. It would hurt too much. Last year, after having found Jimin kissing a long haired girl at the BigHit building, he had cried so much, it had worried the only bandmate who knew about his feelings for the sweet mochi: Yoongi, now better known as Suga. That time his hyung had found him letting out his frustrations at their old practice room. The older had not asked questions and had just stayed there hugging him. Hoseok was so grateful for that, even though it wasn't his precious Jimin, there was nothing better than to have a friend there to pick up the pieces after he had broken down.
About an hour later, when Hoseok had been able to speak again, it had only taken one look at Suga for him to reveal everything. Honestly, who could ever lie to the intensity of Yoongi's gaze? He had told his hyung just how deeply in love he was with their teammate. How long it had been since he first realized that he harbored those kind of feelings for Jimin and of course, the reason behind his bitter tears that night. Yoongi had barely spoken a word as he listened to his explanation. When he was done talking, Suga had just offered him a hug and told him that it'd be alright. That'd everytime he hurt, he could reach for him. That'd he was the owner of his own time, so if he didn't feel like telling Jimin about his feelings yet, it was fine. That night, they had returned home really late and had gotten a little scolded by Seokjin, now commonly known as Jin. Yoongi had taken the blame for their late arrival and had then taken J Hope to sleep next to him. At the time, they still shared a single room, so Suga had made sure no one else noticed that Hoseok had been crying just hours ago. Yoongi had always been one of those people that didn't really like to sleep with someone else, so for him to do that just so that Hobi didn't feel lonely, meant the world to Hoseok.
However, when they had finally made enough money to move into to a bigger place, Hoseok had been both blessed and cursed. Their new home had three big bedrooms and one really tiny one they had at first decided to use as a guest room. When they were discussing sleeping arrangements, he had hoped to share with Suga or Jin, but as destiny would have it, he ended up sharing with both Jimin and Jungkook. Once the bedroom proved to be too small for the three of them, they had raffled the small bedroom in a game of rock, paper, scissors. Jungkook had been the proud winner, leaving Hoseok to share the room with only Jimin. Was he happy? Of course, but he was also kind of afraid, and for a good reason. Not only was it harder for him to hide his feelings having Jimin by his side every morning and every night, it was also killing to find him with girls in there. Not particularly doing nothing else but talking, or at least he hoped so.
Yoongi had advised him to ask Jimin to stop bringing girls into their room if it bothered him so much, but what right had Hoseok to do that? The house was as his as it was everyone else's. That bedroom was as his as it was Jimin's, so under what jurisdiction could Hoseok possibly ask that to Jimin? Other than the fact that it hurt him badly, of course? But that reason was not to be told, so he had just learned to live with those things. Still, his love for the younger had remained unaltered. His frustrations were not even close to enough to make his feelings fade away. Instead, he found himself falling for Jimin more every single day. The younger may have tons of defects but he was also one of the best human beings Hoseok had ever met. Loving, caring, hard working. Not to mention his amazing personality and the ability he had to bring a smile out of anyone. There was also the fact that Jiminie hated confrontations, so he was usually the one to mediate whenever issues ocurred between the seven of them.
Lost in thought, J Hope hadn't noticed that they had arrived to their house. The clock reading 1:38am. That probably explained why he felt so tired. Jimin was deeply asleep on his shoulder and he didn't want to wake up him. "Kookie" Hobi called making the youngest, now named Jungkook, turn to look at him. "Help me out, please" he requested pointing at his sleeping dongsaeng. Jungkook was by far the strongest of them all, so Hoseok deduced that lifting Jimin up would be a really easy task for him, he often lifted Yoongi up after all. As expected, he had not been wrong. Jungkook put both arms under Jimin's body and lifted him carefully. It was good that Jiminie could sleep through everything. As everybody made their way into the dorm, Hoseok followed Kookie as he carried the sleeping mochi into their room.
"Thank you so much, Jungkookie" Hobi said with a smile after the maknae set Jimin to rest on his bed. "Anytime, hyung. Good night" the younger replied with a similar smile and a little pat on Hoseok's shoulder. He saw the maknae leaving and sighed, he was really exhausted. But before he could rest, there was something he had to take care of. He needed to change his sleeping beloved into some sleeping wear. He went into the closet the two of them shared and picked some random blue pajamas for Jimin. He returned to the bedroom and carefully undressed Jimin out of his tight jeans and sweater. He slid the pajama pants first, receiving a few flinches from the younger in response, but still he wouldn't wake up. Hoseok smiled, that was really, really cute. He then lifted Jimin's head a little to be able to put on the sleeping shirt. Once again, the younger let out a few growls at the motion, but his eyes didn't open. It was both funny and sweet. Hoseok couldn't help but to smile at how tender it was.
However, his smile did not last long, because as he was getting the pajama's long sleeve around Jimin's right arm, his eyes locked on the two horizontal red scars on the younger's wrist.
