The footsteps are getting closer, until I feel someone touch me. I turn around to Jonah standing there, looking at me.
"Hey, Emma. I'm really sorry about what just happened. I didn't mean it to cause that."
"It's fine Jonah. Thank you, and I know you didn't mean to start all that."
"Can you come back down? You can sit by me this time."
"I just don't want to be anyone right now. I'll come back down later."
"Alright."
I turn around to walk upstairs.
"Wait, Jonah." He turns back around.
I walk back down to where he was, six steps down from me. I hug him. "Thank you."
-Fifteen minuets later-
I've been in his room sitting on his bed for the past fifteen minutes on my phone, relaxing. Then there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." I shout from the bed.
Zach sticks his head in and smiles at me. He walks in the door and comes towards me. He sits down on the end of the bed.
"Hey, I'm sorry about earlier."
"It's fine. Just next time, don't call dibs on me." I smile at him.
He blushes and looks down at his feet.
"Yeah that was stupid of me to say. I'm really sorry."
I stand up, walk over to him and sit down. I put my arm around him. "Zach it is okay. Now go back down there with your buddies, and have fun."
"Come back down there. Corbyn feels really bad. He wants you back down there."
"I'll come back down later."
Zach stands up and heads over to the door. "Alright. See you later, Emma."
He shuts the door and I go back to where I was. Before even five minutes were up, Corbyn opens the door. He shuts it behind him.
"Emma." He looks at me.
"What." I say.
He walks over to me and grabs ahold of my hand.
"Please forgive me. I shouldn't have kissed you. I'm sorry. I just wanted you to be mine. And only mine. I wasn't thinking, and.." He trails off. "Ever since I've met you, there has been this thing that I've always liked about you. I know it hasn't been that long since we've met each other, but I feel like we've known each other for so long. I also know this is cliche, but I want to be forgiven."
"Corbyn... it's okay. I forgive you."
"Emma..."
"Yes."
"Come down there with us, please."
I stand up as he lets go of my hands.
