WITHOUT HESITATION (A Naruto fanfic) ON HOLD

Chapter 8

A/N I just wanted to say that there will be a lot of spoilers in this story as a whole, even though I am explaining things in short.

"I can't wait for the chunin exam!" Naruto exclaimed as he walked alongside his team mates. Moments earlier Kakashi explained the chunin exam to his team.

Naki obviously wasn't going to take part in it as she is already a jonin. She was just going to watch her team...

After the battle Sasuke had with Rock Lee, Team 7 headed towards the room where the exam was going to take place.

"We won't let you down!" Naruto exclaimed as he walked into the room alongside Sakura and Sasuke.

"How do you think they'll do?" Kakashi asked Naki, his arms crossed against his chest. The young kunoichi looked up at her sensei. Before answering, she looked at the now shut door.

"We'll see..." Naki replied...

-Time Skip-

Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke successfully passed the first stage of the chunin exam. Today they were going into the Forest of Death...

As the Team disappeared in the forest, Naki started to wander off somewhere. Suddenly Kakashi grabbed her by the shoulder.

"You're planning something aren't you?" He stated whilst looking at Naki. The girl sighed and crossed her arms.

"I'm just going to watch over them, I'm not planning on helping them. We both know that would be against the rules." Naki stated confidently.

"Alright just don't get caught." Kakashi said with a closed-eye smile.

"Don't worry, they won't even catch a glimpse of me." She stated before disappearing...

Throughout all of the second stage, Naki kept watch over her fellow team mates. Even when they got attacked by the ninjas of the hidden sound village, she remained hidden.

Naki wanted to see how they'll handle the situation. She believed in them but she would never say it out loud...

Now it was time for the next part of the exam. Naki soundlessly made her way towards Kakashi and stood beside him as if nothing had happened.

Her team mates didn't even realise they had been watched all this time. "So how did they do?" The copy ninja asked.

"Well they survived and I must admit they've improved." Naki said as she kept her gaze on her team mates. Kakashi chuckled softly.

"I see." He stated as he followed her gaze...

-Time Skip-

Sasuke and Naruto got through to the final stage, after fighting their opponents. In the last stage of the exam Naruto was going to battle Neji whilst Sasuke had to fight with Gaara...

Now the shinobi who got through to the last stage have one month for training...

-Time Skip-

It was time for the final stage of the chunin exam. Naki trained alongside Sasuke and Kakashi. Currently they were running late for Sasuke's battle.

"Kakashi sensei we better hurry or we'll be late!" Naki exclaimed as she glared at the copy ninja. He sweatdropped as he scratched the back of his head...

They arrived in the centre of the arena and Kakashi blurted out something about being late because of traffic. Naki face palmed as she made her way to where Naruto and Sakura were seated.

"Where have you been Naki! You've missed my fight with Neji!" The blonde shouted. The young Akimichi just shrugged as she sat down.

"But you've won and that's what counts. Congratulations." She said the last part quietly. Naruto looked at her dumbfounded .

"T-thanks...wait how do you know I won?!" He exclaimed as he gestured dramatically with his hands.

"Simple. Your facial expression makes everything obvious. You wouldn't be happy if you lost." Naki stated.

Naruto went elsewhere to get a better view and then the fight started...

Gaara went berserk as the Third Hokage got attacked. A genjutsu was used on everyone. Naki released herself from the genjutsu and immediately helped the other shinobi fight.

The young kunoichi fought alongside Kakashi and Guy. Meanwhile the rest of Team 7 chased after Gaara. 'They'll handle it.' Naki thought as she took down another sand ninja...

-Time Skip-

Lord Third died. The Village was damaged severely. The word of Hiruzen's death spread fast. He wasn't able to give Naki's memories back...

Sarutobi's funeral took place the next day. Naki placed down a white flower as she thought about Hiruzen. She was sad but she didn't cry. He was always so kind to her and he looked after the whole village...
