CHAPTER 1

"Meet up's and What up's"

So I know that some books are very confusing to read because we get the characters confused with some of the other characters (that's me if it's a really deep book), so as to not get anybody confused with the characters and what not, I'll start you off with a formal introduction of the main ones.

Take note that this is just an introduction of each of my friends, as you go along the story you would find more interesting stuff about these girls, us and the people we shared our experiences with.

My friends, the ones I am about to introduce to you after the next paragraph, and I met in college. We all attended a private all girls' college that was rooted in the Filipino culture, we attended St. Cecilia's Academy for girls in London to be more specific.

Our commonalities were the things that pulled us together, that would be our heritage, religion, love for music and yes, boy ogling (being in an all girls college made that a daily routine)! With commonalities came differences too but we learned to appreciate one another's quirks and what not.

At present, we are all residing in one place and that's in London still. We share an apartment bought by our pulled money, of course, because after four years in college we have decided to chase what we love. And if you haven't caught my drift yet, well here goes, we chased our love for music... and boys (the boy part is mostly brought about by my influence, by the way), we decided to be a band! If common knowledge would speak we'd all know that being in a band entitles you to do what you love which is create and share music to the world and yes! Meet lots of hot rock stars. And become a band indeed, we are A Call To Action!

Being in a band isn't all that fun and easy, of course, the money we made playing in random London pubs and bars our first year wasn't really enough to cover for five people.

What? Were girls, girls have needs, a lot of needs just so that we're clear!

We made more money by having day jobs, all part time, so that we can still create music and practice for our sets, because of our day jobs we came to save up as well. And yes, our parents being the supportive and caring people that they are (Thank you God for our parents!) gave us money in very generous amounts if I may say, just to help start us off, if we finally get our break then they would stop giving us money cause we can stand up on our own by then, that was the condition. But their (our parents and friends) support and love was always going to be with us they reminded us.

So yes, being in a band isn't easy especially if you're new to the industry but that's the thing there may be hard times but there will always, and I mean always, be people who will help you, who are going to be there to support you, which makes you want to do better and strive to be the best you can be. You just have to enjoy the ride, and make the most of it, because you only get to live once right, so if it makes you happy and others too, go for it!

As promised....kind reader I introduce you to A Call To Action!
