My name is Scarlet Smith and I would like to welcome you to my world. It's a very, peculiar world. I live in a peculiar little house, along with my peculiar annoying family, in the peculiar city of London. It is there I attend London Comprehensive, a peculiar school where I met a lot of people, including my peculiar friend Harry and his even more peculiar friend, Rob. I am possessed by a peculiar, challenging life. No matter where I go from here, I highly doubt it could get any less peculiar, or challenging.
Let's start with my mum, Katie Smith. A very independent, argumentative woman, who loves to get her own way and won't do it any other. I can't recall one day where we haven't argued over something pointless, such as me not doing the chores she had set for me, because I had homework to do instead. She always has to have the last word, of course. Now, my dad, Jack Smith. Perfect for my mum. He's so, arrogant, so full of himself, such a prick. He always picks on me for the little things, just the other night, he started yelling at me because I came in at 9:01pm but I was due in at 9pm. Pretty pathetic, huh? I have one sibling, who just happens to be a boy. You must know brothers and sisters don't have, the best relationship. Well, me and Ashley do not get along at all. I may be the oldest (by 4 years), but I am certainly treated like the youngest. For Christmas just gone, Ashley got a PlayStation 3, a new headset and a new iPhone 5. You know what I got? A Barbie doll, which i never intend to play with, and two Xbox games. I don't even have an Xbox! Turns out they mixed Ashley's presents with my present. Ashley hasn't stopped teasing me about that since.
That's enough about my life at home, you get the point, right? I hate my family. They hate me. School is the only place where I can get away from them for six hours, at least. So, let's tell you about my school. London Comprehensive, an immaculate, orderly school. The students and teachers inside are delightful. I'm not very popular, in fact I'm not popular at all, but you don't need to be popular to have a good school life. My best friend, Harry Richards. He's amazing. This is our last term of school. Sadly. Harry is such a character, ever since I met him in year seven, I knew we would be friends. I am going to miss him, I know I won't be allowed out that much when I leave school, which is why I want to go back. He knows so much about me that I wouldn't dare to even think about telling others. He has asked me to run away with him plenty of times. How much I would love to, I have to say no, I have a life here, not the best, but I have a life. I can't just run away from it, can I?
