Prologue
"I can't do this anymore."
"What do you mean, you can't do this anymore?!" Sam asked me, hurt evident in his eyes.
"I mean I'm breaking up with you Sam." I answered, looking away from him.
Sam and I have been together for 2 years. Breaking up with him is one of the hardest things I have to do. I know I'm hurting us both but I have to do this for him to be happy.
"Why? Did I do something wrong? Am I not enough? Please tell me, I need to know so I can make things right. Please Paisley don't do this, I love you so much." Sam begged me. Tears streaming down his face. Sam was the perfect boyfriend. He was everything I need in a guy and more. It hurts to see him like this.
"No, you're perfect!"
"Then tell me why!" He whispered, his voice only loud enough for me to hear.
"Sam, I'm leaving Omaha. Dad got a job offer in Florida and we're moving there in a week."
"We can do long distance. Please just don't do this. Please!"
"I can't, Sam. It's too hard, I don't know when I'll see you again. I want you to be happy and move on. Just- just forget about me."
"I can't do that. I will wait for you,Paisley. I swear I'll wait for you. I don't care how long it takes" He promised.
"I'm sorry" I whispered then gave him one last kiss. I left his house and went home.
