Sana sometimes envies her friends. Dahyun was always on the receiving end of Momo's "hey beautiful"s and Mina was always showering her younger partner Chaeyoung with shy and subtle gestures. The two couples had something in common between both partners, with Dahyun and Momo it would be their beagle-like energy and with Mina and Chaeyoung, it would be their respect for the peace and quiet.

With Tzuyu, it was different.

Sana wore her heart on her sleeve while the younger girl could be considered a master at hiding her emotions. While Sana was affectionate and flirty, Tzuyu was guarded and harder to approach. The two were complete opposites, yet they found each other and started a relationship.

Like most couples, their relationship had ups and downs, and they had their own fair share of arguments, just that they were harder to approach. In most cases, talking it out with one another would be the best approach to any argument, but in Sana and Tzuyu's case, it was different. Sana was afraid to voice her concerns thinking that she was being over sensitive while Tzuyu wouldn't give into showing Sana her vulnerable side.

Sana even resorted to flirting with other girls in her school just to make Tzuyu jealous, but that only got her warnings from her friends that Tzuyu would be hurt severely and Sana wouldn't take the risk, so she stopped.

However, she found the younger opening up to her as time passed by, voicing out her opinions more often and sharing her experiences with Sana. Many couldn't see it, but it was the little things Tzuyu did that kept Sana wrapped around her finger — giving Sana hand massages when she was falling asleep while studying, kissing her goodbye when she dropped her off at home, giving Sana little post-it notes just to make her day feel a little better whenever she felt a little down. They were all precious moments to Sana and the older wouldn't trade it for the world.

Even so, Sana couldn't help but feel jealous of her other friends who were happily in love with one another. Even Jeongyeon was more affectionate than Tzuyu, and she hated things like kisses. Tzuyu rarely displayed any affection towards the older girl other than their goodbye kisses and little pecks in school initiated by Sana, and Sana found herself questioning, more than once, whether Tzuyu really loved her.

Her questioning came to a point whereby Sana was dazed whilst walking home with Tzuyu in silence as usual. The former was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't notice an oncoming truck about to crash into her, that is, until Tzuyu pulled her into the safety of her arms on the sidewalk, cussing under her breath.

Once the vehicle was out of sight, Tzuyu pushes Sana slightly by the shoulders to scan her quickly from head to toe, and Sana no longer feels Tzuyu's erratic heartbeat from when she was pressed into her embrace. Before Tzuyu could even ask Sana if she was okay with a hint of worry in her voice, Sana asks her the question that's been bugging her for the longest time.

"Do you love me?"

Without missing a beat, Tzuyu replies, as if she'd rehearsed answering the question a million times.

"Yes."

Silence engulfs the atmosphere around the two, and Sana takes Tzuyu's hand into her own, deciding to just let it all out, even if they were on the sidewalk.

"Why aren't we like the others?" She asks softly, and Tzuyu would've missed it if she hadn't been giving Sana her fullest attention, observing every movement and facial expression she makes, reading her non-verbal cues, like she always has, and always will.

"Others who?" She replies in the same soft tone, slowly bringing them over to the side in case they were blocking anybody, which they weren't since the street was empty.
