Backstage (Taekook)

Chapter 1

[MAMA Awards 2017]

"Hold on." Taehyung felt a hand on his shoulder when he wanted to move over to where Jungkook is sitting.

"He'll feel way more bothered if the managers came over to separate you both again." Jimin stated, as Taehyung sighed softly in response.

"We had a pact, that we'll both cheer each other up when either of us feel down. I promised him, and I know he's upset, I can't really be bothered with what the managers think right now."

Jimin nodded, obviously knowing how close those two were. Letting down his hand, he decided to let Taehyung move over.

Jungkook didn't notice when Taehyung sat beside him, following the rest of the members filled the seats. He was located in the middle, Hoseok and Jin were on his left, while the rest including Taehyung were on his right.

Taehyung didn't had to say anything, he knew Jungkook wasn't in the right mind to listen to anything anyways, so he might as well just be there physically for him.

When Jungkook noticed that it was his favourite hyung who was sitting beside him, the award show had already started, as the hosts walked up on stage, trying to hype up the crowd.

Jungkook smiled slightly, both of them still feeling a little tense. The two sat in silence until the first group of performers started their show.

Taehyung let his goofy side show after a while, the other members letting them in their discussion. Jungkook still acted like he was new, despite being more than just close with every member in the group. There is just something about the boy himself that he couldn't let it out. They all understood that, thus they had never took it personally, instead, they encouraged him when needed. This is the true reason to why the members of BTS were so truly united and close, they all genuinely cared for each other.

After a while, Jungkook finally was able to relax after some of his favourite performers went up on stage to perform, the group singing and dancing along, and when the camera landed on Jungkook and Taehyung, they took the initiative to act a little goofy before it. Taehyung was more than glad when he was able to see Jungkook truly relaxed himself and enjoying, and so were the rest of the members.

A moment later, Taehyung felt the urge to use the bathroom. The managers couldn't join the boys right where they sat so they specifically instructed them that during every event to bring someone along just in case.

Taehyung turned to his left side, asking softly. "Jungkook ah, I'm headed to the restroom, accompany me there?"

"Aish, but Red Velvet is coming up next, I'll like to watch them though." He was surprisingly polite when he answered, probably in a good mood.

Taehyung pouted slightly, having been rejected. "You're choosing them all over me?"

"Yeah, anytime." Jungkook chuckled.

Taehyung groaned and took a look beside him. The rest of the members were preoccupied with watching the performances as well, however, he still chose to ask Jungkook despite knowing that he may flare up as he hated being interrupted especially during his favourite performances. And honestly, getting rejected is way better than getting lashed at.

He sighed softly, thinking quick and shifting to a slightly more gentle tone. "I guess I'll just have to go alone then."

Jungkook widen his eyes, unsure if his hyung was trying to guilt trip him into agreeing or really just saying, but it's working obviously.

He could feel Taehyung standing up to leave as he was just right beside the male. Jungkook bit his lip and looked up to face him, tilting his head.

"Ah hyung, wait up."

Taehyung took a second to look back.

"Let's just try to get back before they come out alright?"

Taehyung finally smiled, nodding in agreement.
