My alarm clock buzzed loudly and I couldn't help but groan. I had trained longer last night than planned and hadn't had much sleep. Lately Green Arrow had been pushing me harder than usual and hadnt had the usual layback feeling about him.

I sighed and sat up yawning loudly, the Alice in wonderland poster sagged sadly on the opposite wall bringing back sad memories. I pushed them from my mind and got out of bed. We were out of milk so I toasted some bread and smothered it with peanut butter. Mum was still asleep so I chucked on my uniform, grabbed my bag and left the apartment. I walked down the stairs noiselessly as I thought about Green Arrow's sudden change in personality.

My thoughts were interrupted when something soared past my left ear. I dodged the second arrow and spun around to face my attacker.

A smirk crosses my face as I turn to face my mentor. " Green Arrow." I say slyly. " Artemis." he says immitating my voice.

I snuck along the shadowy rooftop straining my ears for the slightest of sound. My quiver was slung across my back and I had my bow loaded and ready with a lethal arrow. I wore my uniform, a sleeveless dark green mid-drift top that covered half my torso, long dark green pants and knee height black boots. I also wore a dark green mask that covered my face from my cheekbones to my dark blonde hairline. The mask was to keep up a secret identity, hiding who I really am is critical if I'm ever to be trusted by the Justice League. Green Arrow took me in because he and batman knew of my past and my family relations, they were the only ones who knew and I intended to keep it that way.

It was late afternoon and the sky was darkening fast. I stayed in my spot atop the train station roof watching the sunset. Green Arrow had me ditch school to train today, not that I was complaining, just the usual target practice and hand to hand combat. I had finally bested my mentor and beat him in our combat, as a reward he had me on a mission. I was to wait for the 4o'clock train that was importing some dangerous cargo. I waited and watched for any suspicious activity. I was ready to kick some butt.
