‘You ready?’ I looked up at the burly man, dressed in black with an earpiece and a clipboard.

How cliché I thought to myself as I nodded silently back at him. He reached forward and pulled open the door, revealing five boys whom I knew all too well.

‘Hello love!’ Louis immediately came forward to hug me, introducing himself cheerily.

‘Hey, I’m Lucy.’ I smiled and hugged him back, exchanging small pleasantries. The five of them sat me on a couch and asked a few questions, which I answered as naturally as I could. My knee was jiggling up and down, my anxiety building. It was the waiting which bothered me.

Pull it together. I thought to myself. You know how this works.

At that moment a loud crash came from the hallway. Harry jumped up and took two long strides to the door.

‘What the hell?’ He yelled, whipping open the door.

Harry froze solid. My heart started to beat fast, pumping at an incredible rate..

Quick as anything, I was by his side, peering round the door at the massive boulder and the mangled body crushed beneath it. A bloody arm was sticking out, clipboard still clutched in the hand.

The other boys had started to move over to us, but I slammed the door shut and yelled at them to sit down. Another crash from outside made them jump, but they all obeyed.

A ball of blue shot out from my hands and I threw it at the door. Sealed. I repeated the process for the next four walls, and by the time I got to the roof, I had five boys scared out of their wits.

‘What the fuck are you doing?’ Niall screamed.

‘What is that?’ Harry yelled.

‘What are you?’ Zayn spluttered.

I continued creating the blue balls, throwing them at the roof repeatedly until we were covered.

I then turned to the boys.

‘Those are force fields.’ I pointed to the, now glowing, blue walls.

‘They’ll keep you safe until I’m back, do not leave this room under any circumstances.’

I turned on my heel and was about to pass through the field when Liam’s deep voice asked the question I had been dreading most.

‘What’s going on?’ He said, terror soaking his words.

I turned back to look at them all. I saw five innocent lives standing before me, and as much as I had to keep them safe, they deserved to know the truth.

I took a deep breath. ‘We’re under attack.’

‘We’re what?’ Niall yelled at me. There were frequent crashes sounding from outside, mixed with screaming and agonised yells.

I ignored Niall and told them to stay put and, although reluctant, they all nodded.

I passed through the force field and then through the door.

Chaos met me outside.

People were panicking, running around , desperately trying to save each other.

 But, of course, they couldn’t.

Giant bits of rock were flying in from every angle, crushing and impaling those in its path. Blood spattered walls lined my path, but I dodged and ducked my way through the hall, sprinting towards the exit.
