The moonlight reflected off of the pond. Trees whispered and swayed in the breeze, and pine needles littered the forest floor. Along with them a black shadow sat at the edge of the pond, looking down into it. It's red eyes glowed and the moonlight cascaded down, glimmering on the figures slick fur. He thrust his black head upwards, turning around to scan the thick trees that surrounded the pond. It was in the dead of night and the only sound was the crickets that sang their chirping songs. The black wolf put his snout to the crisp air, welcoming the scent of something else. He cocked his head over to the trees again and perked up his ears. This time he was sure of it. On the edge of the forest was another figure, hidden by the shadows. The black wolf stood up, his red eyes blazing. He would kill this trespasser! He growled, baring his sharp teeth and the figure instantly shot off into the woods. The black wolf lay his fur back down on his neck and turned once more to the pond but it had stopped lighting up from the moons reflection. The wolf looked up to see clouds covering the moon.

The black wolf who went by Crimson muttered to himself. "No you can not do this to me!" A voice in the distance that had no owner whispered to him. "If you want to stay in your form then you will have to kill another wolf, unseen." Crimson shook his head roughly. "What?" But as quickly as the voice came it had gone. Crimson growled and started pacing, his tail lashing, his claws gripping the soft muddy ground. "I suppose I could kill another wolf." He barked to no one in particular. The breeze ruffled his thick fur and he gazed at the pond. It had lit up once more, reflecting upon the pond again. Crimson looked up at the starless night. "Of course!" He woofed and turned his head upwards, howling at the pitch black night.
