I remember when I first saw Jamie. He was tall, handsome, and it was love at first sight. I went to a concert with friends; it was a local one. See I grew up in a small town no more than a 1000 people. I called it Bummerville. I had religion shoved down my throat, forget individuality, more like long dresses. My father would beat me with a belt because I was different, and rebellious. School was my only escape; so at night my friends and I would sneak off. We went somewhere like two towns over in Nolan. We were all different looking, and no one knew us.

So, I was dancing crazy that night. I have long blond hair with snap in green streaks. I wore white shorts and a pink halter top. I was covered in glitter and sweat. I felt hands around my waist and when I looked up, I saw the most handsome guy ever. I mean really dark brown eyes, "2 hard rocking bod, and of course good dance moves. "Hi I-MM Kaylee." I shouted. "Hey, there beautiful I'm Jamie." He whispered in my ear. "Want to go somewhere quieter." His voice was deep and seductive. I thought yes, but my mouth could not even respond. I was like start-struck but without the star. He took my hand and lead me to a bench that was found away from the crowd. It had one streetlight by it, it was very humid and dark out. We sat down and he asked if I was from around here. "No, I am actually from Bummerville, oh I mean Summerville." I said while turning pink. "That's a nice town, I have cousins that live there.'' he replied. It's more like a trap, and back in the 60s town. I hate it there; I was meant for great things and not a house wife." I looked away trying to fight back the tears; see that night my brother and me ran away because my father beat us. But I did not tell Jamie, this because I didn't want him to think anything bad. "Well I like you." he said "You got spunk and your hella cute." He leaned in and kissed me, and I felt fireworks. I felt butterflies exploding in my tummy. I felt like I was on cloud 9. Jamie, I said, "Did you feel that?" He was breathless and all he could do was smile. I had ripped his brown shirt a little bit by grabbing it too hard.

We talked about our dreams of leaving our small towns. We talked about what scared us to what grossed us out. We spent the whole night talking my friends could not find me and ended up leaving me. "Oh No!" I shouted "I'm in soooo much trouble Jamie." " I sneaked out and now I have no ride back." I said with a breaking voice. "Kaylee it is okay, I will drive you back. "I will not let you get in trouble; we will be like FBI agents and shit." Jamie looked concern. "Fuck it, I said I want to spend the night with you." I said. "It will be worth the beating, Jamie, I never felt this way about anyone." He smiled ear to ear, and he than told me that he too felt the same as me. I jumped in his arms and he carried me back to his place this was a beginning of a love story.
