A good day, but unproductive.
A lazy day.
I probably should have done something more useful than play Mario Kart with Josh, but the day had started out purple. Very Dark Purple.
"Josh!" I call into the kitchen, where Josh sits munching a granola bar.
"Yeah, Y/N?" He calls back.
"What do you want to do?"
"Mario Kart!" He enthusiastically replies.
"But you left because you were tired of me winning, remember?"
"Oh, yeah," He says, chuckling all the while. "The park, maybe?"
"Sure" I call back, standing to head toward my room.
"Can I see if Tyler wants to come?"
I freeze on the stairs, thinking. "Tyler? Oh, that's the guy that Josh hung out with in high school. They used to play music together. Their music used to make me feel yellow-green. I miss those days..."
"Yeah, sure!" I call back as I run up to my room to change. Our apartment is fairly small, but cozy. Originally my Dad wasn't really comfortable with me moving in with a guy, But he's my best friend, so he caved eventually.
I shut my bedroom door and open my closet. I pull out a pair of ripped jeans and a black tee. I reach into my purse, pull out the forest green pencil, and shove it in my back pocket so it sticks out and is easily visible. I throw my purse on my shoulder and head out to the car.
