Beep beep beep

Alan's annoyingly loud alarm clock went off. He rolled over in his bed to see 5:00 AM in vibrant green robotic numbers."Ugh, it is to early on a Saturday for you to be yelling at me." Alan said to the alarm clock as he pressed snooze and rolled over and buried his face into his pillow and slipped back into sleep. But five minutes later the loud beeping came back. "Fine." Alan grunted as he got out of bed and pressed what he called the shut up button. He tiredly got his clothes and trudged to the bathroom.

He tugged of his nightshirt and shivered at the cold morning air before turning on the hot water. He slipped of his pajama bottoms and boxers as steam from the hot shower filled the room. Alan opened the blurred glass shower door before stepping in and letting the warmth of the water embrace his body. He sighed as all of his muscles relaxed under massage like rhythm of the water coming out of the shower head. He squeezed the last of his shampoo/conditioner onto his hand before running it through his hair and scratching into his scalp. Alan then started lathering his cinnamon scented body soap on his body. After completely stopped up, Alan started to rinse of as he hummed she's kinda hot. Still humming he stopped the water and stepped out onto his bath rug and scooted it to the sink.

Alan was vary different person, and made sure that it wasn't known. He was a Sociopath.

He got a towel and his hair dryer out from under it. He rubbed his body dry with the towel before putting on his clothes. He looked in the mirror; the black hoodie and skinny jeans socked what little color his pale white skin had, which made the dark circles under his eyes look even worse. Crap out of foundation. Alan thought to himself. Oh well. He quickly dried his black floppy hair before fixing it and walking out of the bathroom. He grabbed his black leather converse and slipped them on. Alan then grabbed his phone, earbuds, wallet, name tag, and his phone charger.

Soon enough he was outside and flagging down a cab. After an super awkwardly quiet taxi cab ride, Alan was regrettably in the front of the worst/best job ever. The Bookworm Café. It was literally a library with a café in it. He sighed and clipped on his name tag before walking in.

"Oh my gosh, Alan. You look like crap." Debby, Alan's best friend, said as she got the front desk ready.

"Thanks, Deb." Alan said as he made his way to the coffee maker.

"Did you even take a shower?" Deb asked Alan who looked at her with a death stare.

"Yep." Alan said as he started his morning cup of coffee.

"Oh, did you run out of foundation?" Deb asked.

"Yep." Alan said bluntly.

"Oh come on Alan, cheer up." Deb slid over and poked his arm.

"Nope." Alan said before sipping his coffee black cringing at the bitterness and burn that now covered the roof of his mouth.

"Please?" Deb said as she attempted a puppy face.

"Double negative, that face just put off my morning even more." Alan chuckled.

"Hey!" Debby playfully punched his shoulder. She liked him. And Alan knew. And he didn't care.

"Okay, shut up. normal people are coming." Alan said, getting to work. Time to pretend that I'm normal. He thought to himself.

Three hours into the day, Alan was putting away the returned books when he felt a tap on his shoulder coming from behind him.  When he turned he saw a chubby black girl with Glasses on her face that were too big, she looked to be his age. She just stood there looking at him with the plump lips slightly parted as she look up at Alan with her star filled blue eyes.

"Okay bye." Alan said unaware that it was extremely rude as he turned back around to resume his work. But only seconds later the tap on his returned. He turned to the girl once again. "What do want? stare at me again?" Alan questioned with an a annoyed tone. I wish I could feel annoyed at you. He thought.

"I want you to show me where the Sherlock Holmes books are." Her chubby cheeks were red with embarrassment.

"Ugh fine. they are over there." He pointed to the direction of the books she was looking for.

"You pointing won't tell me the shelf and level." She pouted.

"Okay, fine." Alan sighed before putting down the warrior cats  book on the return shelf and started walking down to were the famous Arthur Doyle's books where being held. "Here, are you happy rat?"

"Vary," she started scanning the hard backs as Alan stated to leave, "By the way, your acting is amazing." She said as she pulled out the big book of all of the short stories that looked thicker than the bible. He stopped in his tracks.

"Wait, what do you mean by acting?" Alan looked at the occupied girl with her head already in the book.

"Well, you are acting angry and annoyed by me, rolling your eyes, sighing, even calling me names. If I didn't know bettet, I would never think that you, my good sir, are a sociopath." She said casually. Alan went pale as she walked past him. He then ran to catch up to her before grabbing her and running into the employees only  bathroom.

"How do you know? I made sure I showed no signs! Nothing slipped! To the world, I am just a annoying and rude young adult who works at a library café place. So how the hell could you know?" Alan fiercely yelled at her.

"Because I'm not the world. I'm Jada." She smiled at Alan. "Now, I could forget this information if," She stopped to think.

"What?! I will do or give anything to you." Alan asked not wanting Jada to ruin his reputation. Jada looked up at him with one eye brow raised before smiling.

"Okay Alan," She looked at his name tag. "You and me are going to hang out every day this week starting  tomorrow until next Saturday. And on next Saturday we will go on a nice date. And maybe when I go home that night I will forget about your little problem." She smirked at him.

"Wow, you are going to use black mail for a date? You do know that there is this thing called Match.com or maybe even Tinder?" Alan said with his words dripping with sarcasm.

"You do know that there is this thing called social media. Its really cool because with a tittle of my fingers and a touch of a button, I can ruin someone's life." Jada smiled as she slipped her phone out of her pocket.

"Okay fine." sighed in defeat.

"Yay!" Jada cheered. "See you tomorrow at five o'clock after your shift." She said before kissing his cheek and ran out of the shop.

This is going to be a long week  Alan thought to himself.
