Chapter 1

I arranged my books in my backpack and left the class just as the final bell was ringing .

Four flours of stairs later i was walking through the school's gate and heading home .

My house wasn't a long walk from my school . And i could look at the sea on my way.
The waves glistened under the after-noon sun .

I lived in a village , and the country air was refreshing . The wind took hold of my hair as i walked , driving my black locks up and down to it's dance . The dance of the wind , invisible but beautiful .

Yellow butterflies were swarming around the flowers, and a black cat jumped out of a bush and startled me .

After a minute of watching the cat hop away i went back to my path .

Suddenly , i felt my backpack being pulled forward and saw a blue figure in front of me. It was a man in a blue t-shirt , And i soon realized that i was being mugged !

I tried pulling my backpack away from him but i only got pushed to the ground and hurt my arm . The man ran away , my backpack at hand . And inside it was my 1000 dollar phone , my wallet and my school text books . I pulled my knees to my chest and started sobbing right there on the cold concrete .

My arm hurt and that was my favorite backpack !

A few minutes later i felt a warm hand on my shoulder . I lifted my head up , and there was a boy , that looked my age , with honey colored hair and eyes and a slight tan to his skin tone .

" is this yours miss ?" He said with a smile while handing me my backpack.

"Yea , but how did you get it ?" It's only now that i noticed the blood streaming down his face , he must've had a fight with whoever it was that mugged me to get my backpack back .

"I'd do anything for a lady. " he smiled again , making me feel dizzy with his beauty . A smile filled with two perfect rows of the clearest sea pearls .

He helped me up and asked me for my name .

" I'm Ocean " i answered nervously knowing my name was quite unusual .

" Beautiful name , i'm Tyler" i could swear that the noise of the waves got louder as he pronounced his name as if the sea was mad at him . "I'll walk you home , in case someone else tries to hurt you."

We walked for a bit , but then he stopped . I turned around to look at him , and i saw him ripping the sleeve of his red shirt . He then took the fabric and wrapped it around my injured arm . And then he walked me home safe and sound before leaving , drowning me in his mystery . Who was this boy ? I've never seen him in the village before .

My house faced the sea , so at night i would stare at the stars crowning the water with their light . And i couldn't help but think of him as i looked at the crystal clear water mirroring the moon .

I was in deep thought , thinking about him , when i saw a shape jump up and then back into the water . Probably a dolphin . But i've never seen dolphins at night before , not in this area anyway .
