What have I done? This is all wrong, they shouldn’t have been involved!

My cell smelled like blood, sweat, and despair. Chained to the wall in an upright position, I could see an unconscious Kianna in the cell in front of me. I couldn’t see the others, but I knew they were in cells around me. I tried to use my magic to get out of the cell, only to find an energy shield interfering. I moved my arms to try and get out of my shakals, only to get burned as I moved.

Must be enchanted.

Kianna awakens and looks around, confused. “Hey, Nyrah, why are you the only one chained?”

“Wait, Nyrah’s chained?” I hear Leona’s confused voice from my left.

“I’m a lot more dangerous than you originally thought.” I replied in a low voice.

“You? Dangerous? Oh please, don’t make me laugh Nyrah!” Aryah’s voice sounded from my right.

“Look at how vulnerable you are, Nyrimah!” A new voice inquired.

Why does this voice sound so familiar?

“They weren’t supposed to be apart of this mess, were they?” The owner of the voice appeared in front of me.

“Zaikon,” I gasped in realization.

“Where are your fellow guards now, Nyrima?” He pulled out a dagger and lunged it toward me.

Then, everything froze. Like someone pressed pause on a movie. Everyone stopped moving. Then all at once, everything rewound back to 2016, the year this nightmare originally started
