I stepped onto the cold tile floor of the bathroom and turned on the shower. Setting my clean clothes on the bathroom counter, I pulled off the t-shirt and shorts I had worn to bed and tossed them carelessly on the ground. I hooked my phone up to my waterproof bluetooth speaker and put on a K-pop playlist. Stepping into the shower, I let the warm water cascade onto my hair and body, instantly warming my cold skin. After about 5 minutes, I turned off the water, wrapped myself in a towel, and squeezed as much water out of my hair as I could. I hummed along softly to the song that played from my speaker while I combed the tangles out of my hair and moisturized my face. "I'm takin' over, you" I sang softly as I slipped on my clean clothes. Even though I personally thought my voice sounded like a dying cat, I couldn't stop myself from singing along to Pied Piper.

"GRACE!" Sana yelled from the kitchen. "YEAH?" I yelled back. "HURRY UP!" I laughed quietly to myself and paused the music player from the speaker. I stepped out of the bathroom back into my bedroom and tossed my pajamas into a laundry basket. Grabbing my phone from my bed, I walked into the kitchen/living room to see Sana sitting on the couch, bowl of cereal in hand and laptop on the coffee table. I smiled at her and walked over to the fridge to find something for breakfast.

"Hey! I already made you a bowl of cereal, come and sit down!" Sana said, patting the space on the couch next to her. I raised my eyebrows at the bowl of sugary cereal and shook my head. "I can't eat that, too much sugar," I said, taking a box of oatmeal from the cupboard. "Grace, I am not waiting for you to make your breakfast, it takes you like 10 minutes to make your oatmeal and put all your healthy crap in it!" Sana whined. "You can start it if you want to," I said, slicing some strawberries to put in my oatmeal.

When I had first arrived at college, I had become extremely self-conscious of my body and had decided to start making healthier choices. I became vegetarian and exercised morning and night, excluding Tuesday mornings, for the sake of Run episodes."I'll just listen the best I can," I said, pouring some chia seeds into my steaming oatmeal.

"Did you forget I speak Korean?" I said in a teasing tone. Well, that wasn't 100% true. My parents are both Korean (my mom is full Korean and my dad is half Korean), so I had grown up listening to them speak Korean on a few occasions, but they predominantly spoke English. I really only knew key phrases, but I could hold a conversation with someone in Korean if I had to. I'd also been taking Korean classes for my major, as well as Sana, since we both majored in foreign affairs dealing with South Korea.

Sana scoffed. "I speak Korean just as well as you, you pabo. But I still think it's hard to understand them when they talk so fast..." she said, trailing off. I ignored her and went back to slicing almonds and berries. After a pause of silence, I heard the familiar introduction song blare from the laptop and a smile appeared on my face. Gosh, I love BTS so much.
