Chapter 2: Invitation

Another class ended. Pumunta na kong canteen at hinahanap si Ellaine.

"Bitch!" Oh she found me. Tumakbo siya malapit sakin.

"Yo." I put one useful hand in the air as a Hi.

Umupo kami sa table at binaba yung gamit namin. Siya na daw bibili ng food. I just wanted cake.

I looked around the canteen. I was obviously looking for them. Nanggigil ako dun sa lalake kanina, 'di porket may Ferrari siya gaganyan-ganyan na siya. But then, kaboses niya yung lalake dun sa panaginip ko. Si–

I felt my head hurt nung inaalala ko yung pangalan niya. Sino nga ba inaalala ko? I can't remember anything that much anymore. Since that day I went missing, everything about me in the past turned into a blur, I would get dreams about me as a child at times, pero hindi ako pwede magbase sa panaginip. They're just dreams anyways.

I looked at the side of the canteen. Nakaupo sila, sama-sama silang lima. Nakaupo lang sila, walang food sa table. They're just there, enjoying themselves as they chat.

Nakasandal si Leina sa shoulder ni Gotfrey. Tapos parang ang daming kwento ni Effie, nakatingin lang yung salbahing lalake sakanya. Maybe sila nung lalakeng salbahi at si Effie yung couple, ang cute nila. Tinigan ko si Shion.

Nakatingin siya sakin, he narrowed his eyes at me. I bit my lower lip. He's so handsome. He gave me a gentle smirk. I want to come close to him. Maybe talk to him...

"Uy," nabigla ako sa pagdating ni Ellaine. Tumingin ako agad sakanya. "Ano ginagawa mo?"

"N-nothing." I stuttered

"Sure." She said giving me my plate of cake and carbonara.

"Cake lang inorder ko." I moved the carbonara away.

"Hindi pwede na cake lang kakainin mo. Kumain ka rin ng iba."

"But but..–"

"No buts," she pushed the plate close to me. "Besides, favorite mo naman diba ang carbonara diba?" She smiled and sat down.

"Yeah, I guess." Tinignan ko nalang yung carbonara and sighed. Lumingon ulit ako sa table nila Shion.

They disappeared, again.

Days past by, I begun to get more curious about those kids. This days nagccut sila ng classes. Yung ibang classes na dapat nandun sila, wala. And some classes andun sila. It's been a week and they still kept on doing it. Parang wala namang pake yung mga teachers. It's really amusing somehow. I don't know why, but amusing seems to be the right word right now.

I sat in Biology class, desperately hungry. I scribbled in my notebook, It was absolutely boring, Maam Doksi looks boring too. I draw donuts and ice creams, and some candy.

"Hey," Samantha whispered. She's next to me right now, she's also sort of a friend.

"Hmm?" I didn't pay attention to her. I need to concentrate on drawing this pizza.

"Pupunta ka ba?"

"Saan?"

"Sa house party nila Hale."

"Who?" I just stared at her, it wasn't ringing a bell.

"Yung hottie na new student."

I put my brow up at her filled with confusion.

"Girlfriend niya si Effie."

"Ohhh." Yun pala pangalan ng sungit na yun. Well lucky him though.
