Blinking blindly, I adjusted my eyes to the sudden brightness.
The source of the light was the rays of sunshine illuminating every line and curve in the cell.

My eyes immediately landed on a carved bottle and some bread laying on the cold ground.

Reaching for it I hungrily cleaned them crunching down I began shoving each chunk of bread into my already open mouth, ignoring it sweet-bitter taste.

Making sure no crumbs of bread were left, I brought the carved bottle to my mouth swallowing and savouring every drop of water until there was none left in it.

Bringing it out with a "pop" I let it drop from my trembling hands, as it was of no use to me anymore.

It's precious contents sucked leaving me craving for more.

Feeling a throbbing pain at the back of my head, I brought my palm to it rubbing at the weak point but flinched when my fingers crossed a little bump.

I was so carried away with massaging,
the tiny bump that I didn't notice the cell's door opening and a guard came into view.

Why he looked familiar I couldn't remember.

"How are you feeling today?"

Even his voice is familiar. I thought as I still refused to make eye contact with him and providing any personal answer to his questions.

With a sigh the guard brought himself down to my level of vision.

"How are you feeling today?" He asked again, this time his voice firm and unwavering.
