The pointed tails of a gray robe trailed behind the male official in the metallic hallway. He quickened his pace, clutching a clear tablet with red writing on it. A knot coiled in the back of his throat as he glanced around for the room he had been called to. Every door looked the same, even the one to the usual meeting chamber of the ruler of Arroth. Searching for the correct room, he finally approached the door with the label that read 'HARVID COUNCIL; MEETING WITH VALY.' Adjusting the hood over his blond hair, he opened the door and entered to see Harvid Chace standing in front of it, eyes dark. The other composed himself.

"I am Harvid Maloi, come for our leader Valy," he said, nerves building as Chace's face remained stern.

"Don't worry, you're not late," Chace said, a smile curving on his bearded face. Maloi chuckled and walked into the domed room, seeing the other two Harvids, clad in gray, and Guredel Valy, pacing in his black robe.

"Oh, is Maloi here?" Guredel said, stopping in his tracks to face the two. He looked tired to Maloi, and had grown a small beard as well. "Let's not waste time, we need to get this problem resolved."

"He's still focused on the previous five who ran off some time ago," the Harvid Kai whispered once the two approached. Kai was the only female in the council, and the third most powerful in the room, behind Guredel and Chace. "They were taken away from Nil, as our tracking devices across the desert didn't find them back then."

"Huh. Weird..." Maloi said, coming to stand by the dark-skinned Harvid Levrith.

"Valy, I have urged you repeatedly to quit this mission," Chace said, drawing a glare from the ruler, "The brothers Kut, Miyr and the human have no use to us."

"They blatantly disobeyed orders... 'repeatedly,' as you said, and they were a good team to put together for the Earth mission," Guredel said firmly, "One leader-class, one warrior-class, one healer, and one for the odd jobs. They didn't want to help make our province greater. And the fact that we drafted them, yet they refused to follow authority? Authority shouldn't be questioned in that extreme."

"You need to listen to the people more. I have to be blunt."

"I do listen to the people."

"In domestic ways, yes, as for governmental purposes... Valy, you are more of a dictator in that way. You've come a long way since being shocked, but your mental state has decreased over time."

"Chace, I just want to help our province, our nation! You go along with my rulings as well, I've noticed!"

"You force us to."

"Might I add that questioning my mental capabilities is attacking me rather than the problem?"

"The way we 'help' seems to be causing minor uprisings, Valy," Kai interrupted, "Yes, the original four have deserved punishment due to their refusals, but if they somehow left here-- and we didn't find any proof it was a ship that took them--"

"Excuse me, Kai," Guredel said, "Then what do you suppose just... let them off easy?"

"I hate to bring superstition and legend into this, but it may have been the last Solla. There's been events like this that happened in the past that we've marked down as simple escapes, but for a group to entirely disappear?"

"Kai, please refrain from mentioning that thing."

"But--"

"Valy, maybe Maloi has something to say," Levrith said, gesturing to him, "I looked over on his tablet, and he has something that may be more important than a bounty hunt."

"What it is, then?" Guredel said. Maloi glanced to the man beside him in a silent thanks, then stepped forward to hand the ruler the tablet. It was silent for a moment, until Guredel said with a smirk, "Ah... You dug deep for this one, didn't you, Maloi?"

"Yes, it's an old case, but I suppose we could take back what actually is ours instead of trying to capture those who--"

"Enough said, enough said. Makes sense to go with this, but I'm still putting my other plan on the list," Guredel said, walking over to his chair and pressing a button on the arm. The Harvids sighed quietly in exasperation. With a collective glance at each other, they silently decided it was best to not discourage him. A desk with a large screen that folded out of it had come up to the left of the chair, where Guredel was standing. "Come here, all of you."

He placed the tablet on the desk while the four strolled over and gathered behind him, curious as to what he was doing. Tapping the screen, it turned white, then displayed layers of gray files. He put his finger on the screen again, scrolling through the icons, eventually finding the one he needed and enlarging it to fill the display.

"They went to Earth, too, okay..." he said, glancing over it, idly picking at his cheek in between his thumb and index finger, "By spaceship, though. Rogue Muscato-Nil ship. The beasts anyway... Earth..."

Maloi shifted uneasily at the mention of the planet.

"I could take both down in one try... I'd need backup for both, not so much for the first but definitely for the second. Either way--" he turned to the Harvids, "This will not have any time wasted. Getting there is the only issue. The rest of it will be no problem at all. We will succeed, no matter what."

A small piece of text in the file flickered green, then back to white.

"Wait--" Maloi said, approaching the screen, touching it, and scrolling down the page, "Look! There's a tracker. It must've been attached to the subject," His curiosity deepened at the next sight, "And it has information attached to it..."

Guredel turned and moved Maloi's hand away, studying the tracker's box. The more he looked at it, the more prominent a smile reached across his face. He narrowed his eyes in glee and clapped his hands together once.

"Perfect," he said, keeping his hands clasped. Maloi blinked, trying to keep his composure from disclosing the sudden guilt he had for even suggesting the old case. He felt the others' eyes on him.

A/N:

Take a guess at who I based Guredel and the Harvids off of. Go ahead. (Hint: they're musicians as well)

I'm afraid that this is the end of the longest work I've ever taken a shot at! It was a blast to write, think up new things, and create a unique, alien society. Thank you, everyone who took the time to read, stayed patient during slow updating, and enjoyed it. However, with this epilogue, you may be wondering what I have in mind. This era may have ended, but a new, and hopefully bigger and better era is coming. Keep your eyes peeled, readers, soon another adventure is starting for our beloved five... We Are the Radiators.

It may be some time until the first part of the story is up, since school is starting soon for me. I apologize in advance for the delay.

Again, thank all of you who have read my very first fanfiction about FF5, and the first fanfiction on my Wattpad. God bless.
