"Hey. You wanna go for a run?"

"Kerri, it's 7:30 in the morning on a Saturday." I rolled my eyes.

"So yes?" I chuckled. "Good cause I'm outside. Let's go bitch."

I crawled out of bed and got dressed.

"Morning. Kerri's outside and apparently we're going for a run. I'll be back." Jen looked up at me as I walked past the couch. "I love you Jennifer."

"I love you too Carson. Be careful." I nodded and walked out the door.

"Asshole." I muttered as I walked down the sidewalk next to Kerri.

"I heard that. Let's go Taylor." She took off running, leaving me in the dust.

I took off, catching up fast. We ran for a while, just talking. It was nice. I'm glad Jonathan took me to that party, I'm glad I met Kerri.

"How'd your talk with Anna go the other day?" She asked.

"It didn't. I ended up need to talk with Jen, so I never got the chance."

"Well hopefully tod-"

"You've got to be shitting me." I stopped in my tracks, Kerri not noticing for a minute.

She turned around and looked at what I was looking at, more like who I was looking at.

"Fucking Anna." I whispered.

She was running too, towards Kerri and I.

"Morning Carson." She looked at Kerri, with almost a hateful look in her eyes. "Carson's friend."

"Kerri, this is Coach Carter." Kerri's breath hitched.

"You weren't kidding, she's beautiful." My elbow made contact with her ribs. "Sorry. Um, so you're Anna, huh." Kerri's hands made fists.

"Kerri.." I warn, grabbing her hand.

"I'd say nice to meet you." She looked anna up and down. "But I'd be lying."

"Okay. Time to go.." I pulled Kerri's arm. "See you later Coach."

"Carson, wait."

I didn't though. Kerri and I ran home, and I went upstairs to shower. I took a decently long one, making the water super hot, letting my muscles relax and trying to prepare myself for later. I got out and wrapped a towel around my body. My phone went off.

Hey, you wanna drink tonight? Josh is going to his parents for the night.

I smiled.

To: JJ
Hell yes! I'll be over after districts.

I chuckled, but stopped as soon as my phone got ripped from my hands.

"Oh hell no. You're not drinking tonight." Jen said sternly.

"Hell yes I am."

"Carson Leigh Taylor." Jen snapped.

"Jennifer Marie Smith." I looked at her.

"Don't." She said, she was pissed but I didn't care.

I glanced at the clock, realizing I need to leave soon. I threw my clothes on and towel dried my hair, brushing it quickly before grabbing my shoes.
