Harrys pov...

Today is Monday April 3, 2019 and the weather is dreary, what else is new. I'm currently on the phone with a potential sponsor, well, more like trying not to pull my hair out while they scream at me. "I understand but the fact is that all of those chemicals are harmful to the environment. I know that isn't your problem but... I know but you should want to help. No I am not telling you what to do with your money. Well thank you for your time, and if you don't mind I'd rather not shove my problems there.

I see Niall sitting down in front of my desk

"There's no way we'll find enough sponsors to fund this"

"Well if anyone can do it you can, I mean you managed to get the cash for the xellerman project last year.''

"First off I had a little help from you, and second I practically had to beg everyone in town and a few outside of town just to barely come up with the funds."

"Well barely is better than not at all and It's been a year so hopefully a few people have forgotten and you can hit them up again. If it were me I would support you."

"You have to say that you're my best friend, but meanwhile there are people out there with more money in their pocket than I make in a year and all they do is tell me to do things I'd rather not repeat."

"With those kind of people you can't just beg and plead, you have to make a strong case ,have evidence to support it and keep pestering until they are this close from filing a restraining order and then, and only then do you give up."

"While I thank you for the advice I think I'll stick to my way, but worse come to worse I'll give yours a shot."

"Whatever, I have my own deadline to worry about. You want to get lunch later?"

"Sure if you don't mind sitting here eating while I cry my eyeballs out."

"I'll take that as a no, I'll see you later.''

"Bye."

God this has been a long day. That was my 47th call today and the 35th time someone has either gotten upset or simply hung up....or both. This is what isn't exactly what I expected when I said I wanted to help the environment. I mean I understand everyone has to start somewhere but I could be doing so much more than just taking peoples crap all day. I suppose i'm lucky though, i get to be part of a good cause. So i've got that going for me.

Back in school I was the guy absolutely no one noticed, not that I wanted them to or anything. I at least had Niall, he's always been there for me and it worked out perfect when we ended getting accepted to the same company. Don't get me wrong I don't want to stop working with my best friend, but this isn't where I saw myself after 3 years. But that's another goal for a different day. I just need to gather some more sponsors......like now

Louis pov.....

I'm just finishing up the last part on the rotor machine when I see Liam coming over. Liam's a good enough guy, I wouldn't call us close or anything but he's nice to talk to.

"Hey did you hear?''

"No, what?''

"Apparently those tree huggers are trying to raise money to file a lawsuit against the plant. Yeah they found out that the owner of this place has been dumping this stuff in a uh park or something."

" Aw come on, again? They really just will not let this go, I mean first they threaten to shut us down now they're suing us. I swear if I ever meet one of them they will never hear the end of it.

"They act like we do this just for fun or something, I mean I'm pretty sure everyone here needs this job. Why else would anyone come to this dump?!

"Exactly, this is my 3rd job in 2 months and frankly it's the best one."

"You know I say we go down and teach them a lesson ourselves if you know what i mean."

Liam starts wiggling his eyebrows, he's an idiot sometimes I swear.

"Oh and I suppose we'll just go up there and punch everyone in the building huh? That'll teach em.

"Well they can't just keep putting our jobs on the line like this, we have to do something!"

"You're right."

"Thank You!"

"We need to get to work before they fire us now."

Liam gives me the best glare he can muster but he really just looks like an angry puppy

"Whatever." he grumbles out and starts walks away

"I'll see you at lunch." Ever since Liam gave me his sandwich the first day of orientation, we've always sat together.

"Yep, later"

"See ya"

I honestly wish my shift was almost over but I need the over time they assigned today so instead of getting off in 2 and a half hours I have to wait 5 more. It'll be worth it though, well it won't feel like it but it will definitely help with all the bills i'm behind on.

I used to be more than this, I was always voted most likely in school so needless to say I never saw myself working here. Soon after I graduated my mom fell ill with degenerative muscle disease so I put off college to help take care of her until we could figure something out. That was 3 years ago. I know one day i'll make it back to school, but for now i've just got to take care of my mom.
