"We have detective Morgan here to tell us about the second homicide this week in our city of Ravenswood, live."
"Citizens of Ravenswood, I'm here to let inform you on the second homicide this week. We found the body two miles from the first body. We have yet to determine who this..."
I didn't hear the rest of what he was saying because I shut the tv off. I was scared. Two murders in one week in my all catholic neighborhood.
"Mom!" I yelled. "Mom, please come down here."
"What now my dear?", she asked while holding the laundry basket against her hip.
"There was second murder this week mom. The body just two miles from the first." I explained.
"That's truly awful. I can't wait till this FBI team finds the person who did it. I'm sure your professors will be talking about it at school, right?" My mom asked.
"Yeah probably..." I replied. I wasn't really listening to her, I was too focused on these murders. My mom was right though, my professors would be talking about it. I go to Ravenswood university and I'm majoring in psychology but I also take criminal justice classes. Eventually, I hope to be a racial profiler in the FBI. Maybe I'll be able to solve a case like the one in my own neighborhood.
Isn't that scary to think there is a criminal- a murderer- basically roaming your neighborhood. It gets you all paranoid- like what if it's someone I know? What if the murder is my neighbor? Also, who's gonna be next? What kind of people is the unsub going after? Did the unsub and the victims have a bad history? Did they even know each other? There's so many things to consider. Racial profilers answer questions like that to figure out a profile of the unsub. I want to be able to do that one day- get into the murder's, or any criminal's for that matter mind, and help the innocent victims.
"Kylie... Kylie!" My mom said.
"Oh, yeah sorry what were you saying?" I was completely zoned out thinking about the murders.
"I said I'm going to bed and I have a meeting early tomorrow morning. I'll see you when you get home from school, goodnight sweetie" my mom said while kissing my head.
"Night", I mumbled while walking up to my room.

"Class class settle down!" My psychology teacher Mr.Dubose yelled. I was already sitting in my desk just checking twitter but everyone else was making they're way to they're desks. Tom, a 6"3 tall, short dark haired and brown eyed boy in my class stopped at my desk before walking past in to his usual seat, the seat right behind mine. He put his hands on the front of my desk, lowered his head and said "on your phone huh, Ms.Kylie always breaking the rules." He said with a smirk. Did I mention he is quiet attractive? We're both freshmen at the university with the same major and we have many classes together, psychology obviously being one.
"Things would be boring if I didn't." I replied with a smirk. He answered with a smirk, a head nod and walked to his desk. I rolled my eyes and let out a laugh. He's single, and so am I, but we're just friends. We've meet in September, the beginning of the school year, and we've been friends since. Because it's already February, we've gotten pretty close.
"Alright class, let's get started" the teacher said again, trying to tame the class. Finally everyone stopped talking and class started. No, I'm not an uptight nerd who wants nothing but schoolwork, but it's annoying when the class can't shut up. I, unlike some of my classmates, actually want to be good at what I do and get a good job. Others just don't care.
