Ch. 1 Back to School

            It was September 1, so it was time to go back to school. The day before today, everyone got their dorms. The arrangements were Alex and Laurens, Lafayette and Mulligan, The Schuyler sisters, Maria and Theodosia, and Madison and Burr. Alexander had just transferred from another college.

           The first bell had rung and everyone was at their lockers talking. Eliza had noticed Alex and so had Angelica. Eliza grabbed her sister and said, "This one's mine." She smiled and walked to her class. Angelica felt a wave of despair hit her. Of course, my sister likes the boy I like thought Angelica. She walked into her art class and settled for a seat next to a girl with curly hair that looked like Peggy.

           The girl held out her hand and said, "I'm Maria Reynolds." 

           Angelica shook her hand and replied, " Angelica Schuyler."

           The girls chatted for the rest of art class. Eliza had baking class with Theo and Peggy had sewing class with Herc. Alex, Madison, Burr, Jefferson, and Laf had law class together. After class, Jefferson started to be annoyed by Alex. He threw Alex against a locker and sweared at him. Alex's nose started to bleed. John helped Alex up and took him to the nurse. "Why did that guy throw into a locker," John asked. 

         "'Cause I roasted him in a debate," Alex chuckled. John laughed.
