This sunrise,
Bright and unwavering,
Who could defeat something so sure?
I rise slowly, yawning, I am sure this day will be good.
Looking around my room,
I draw motivation from my lively posters,
I get dressed and do my hair fast,
Making time for a light breakfast,
I set the alarm to "AWAY" as I walk out,
I skip to the bus stop accompanied by music.
This ride to school was disturbingly quiet.
I attend my classes, greeting each teacher.
This Day, I Am A Good Student, As Always.
I leave my classes, waving to each teacher.
The ride from school was peacefully quiet.
Walking from the bust stop, my headphone died,
I set the alarm to "STAY" as I trudge inside,
My empty mind influences my empty appetite,
I throw my clothes on the floor in frustration,
My posters mock my face with their stares.
Looking around my room once more,
I didn't know the day would be so harsh,
I fall quickly, sighing and wiping tears,
The night is putting up a fight,
My mind is dark, my thoughts are wavering,
This sunset.
