Lonna walked on the gym balcony as she ran her hand over the cool metal of the safety railing. Her mind was running with never ending thoughts. Suga and her still hadn’t bumped into each other, and in all honesty, she wouldn’t know what to say even if they did. She had thought once the Keun-suk issue was taken care of he would be happier, but she never imagined things would end up like this. The thought of her feelings meaning something more than his was heart shattering.
Suga’s POV
Suga had left Taehyung behind wondering what he had done to cause such a cursing. He now stood on the outside steps, leaning on the railing, with his hand under his chin. His regrets were starting to lay heavy on him as he stared out over the city.
Jin walked up to him and leaned his back against the railing lazily. “Do me a favor…bring the old Suga back, okay.”
Suga rolled his eyes. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Jin was tired of Suga’s stubbornness. “Bystanders see it clearly. You, the participant, are blinded to no end. Even if Keun-suk was Lonna’s first love, so what? Don’t you know by now who has her heart?”
“I’m just jealous…that he isn’t going to be her brother.” Suga opened up. “So annoying. It’s because were siblings…I’m so agonized.”
Lonna felt her heart sink as she listened from the door behind them. Jin had offered to help her find out what Suga’s problem was, but she never thought he would lay his feelings out this easily. I’d always thought I was the only one agonized. But Suga is too.
Lonna’s POV
The quiet of the locker room was disturbed as Jisoo slammed the club log on the table in front of Lonna, making her jump. “Make sure to update the club journal today.” Jisoo ordered.
“Why is it me?” Lonna asked.
“Because chocolate girl took the day off.”
Lonna was shocked by this information. She slowly stood up out of her chair. “Seungwan took off? What happened?”
“Who knows?” Jisoo shrugged her shoulders. Then her face got serious as she leaned closer to Lonna. “But…she noticed.” Lonna didn’t need to ask to know what she was referring to. The thought made her nervous. “I think sometime soon, she will confirm it with Suga.” Seeing the distress on Lonna’s face, she oddly felt like comforting her. “But…she doesn’t know it is you.”
Jisoo didn’t know what to do to help Lonna. The more she stood and watched her, the more she seemed to disappear inside herself. RM called for her to come on, giving her the chance to escape. Once she was gone, Lonna walked on unstable feet to the nearest beach and collapsed on to it. What should I do? We’ll be exposed. What to do? Lonna felt as if her world was crashing down around her. She clutched her chest as it started to vibrate with pain. If uncle and mom find out, what will happen?
Later that night, Lonna sat on her bed reading one of the new manga books Krystal had let her borrow. She was interrupted by her phone ringing. “Hello?” She answered.
“Can you come out?” She stopped reading the book as Suga’s voice came through the phone.
“Where?” She asked confused and shocked by his request. To her dismay, Suga hung up the phone. “He didn’t say where.” She pouted. The sound of her message tone caught her attention. Once it loaded up, Lonna could see a familiar part of the city staring back at her. She smirked slightly as she recognized where Suga was.
Suga’s POV
The sky was dark and void of any cloud cover, making it easy for Suga to see each shiny star as he lightly swung the park swing he was occupying. He thought the view from this tiny abandoned park was one of the best. The city lights didn’t block it out, which was rare to find. The bright moon seemed to twinkle as he watched it. He tapped his on his hand as he contemplated its beauty. It reminded him of Lonna, always had.
