Meet The Band

Vega. That's the name I took on. If anyone found out that (Y/N) (L/N) ran away from home to play music, they'd surely shame me and my family.

"She had a great life! Now she's some loser..."

"Stupid girl, why did she run away?"

"What a bum..."

I wanted to stay in school and play music. But because of the strict rules of my family, they didn't let me. I did a series of things that caused my parents to stop me from doing what I want.

1. I replied to my father's text three minutes late when he asked me where I was. (I was at my friend Lance's house practicing with the band, as I already told him.

2. My math grade is a B. (Although, I understand math better than the majority of my peers, and just have a hard time with time management.)

3. He's sick of being a dad.

But, whatever. Since I joined a new, small town band called "Voltron", I've been seeing how running away was worth it. Let me introduce you to the members.

Lance McClain, our lead guitarist. He's a Cuban flirt, and loves the ladies. But, what his family doesn't know is that he also diggs the guys

Keith Kogane. The somewhat edgy bassist with family issues, way worse than mine. He found his mom recently, but knowing that she was gone for eighteen years and is just now found still gives him his angsty flare.

Katie "Pidge" Holt, the young nerd. She's a feisty person, and we get along well. But she deals with the past trauma of being bullied, and even now, teased because of her nerdish tendencies. Pidge is our launch pad expert, which is an instrument which plays techno sounds.

Hunk Garrett, a sweet softy. I honestly have no clue how he could be hated by anyone. Many people make fun of him for being, dare I say, "Fat". Despite the fact he is os a healthy weight and is actually built of muscle. And because of his muscle, he is out drummer.

Allura Smythe, a girl who lives with her Godfather, Coran Smythe. She plays the keyboard, and is seemingly sweet. But, due to her usual "Princess" and "Best Girl" status, she gets used to the attention. Lately she sees that you can't win all the time. Does kindness block these feelings, or does jealousy arise, even within nice girl's minds.

Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane. Lead singer for male vocals, and backup guitarist. With his white streak of hair, he looks like an edgy dad. But, he is the oldest member of the band, the most responsible six year old. He was born on a leap year. He keeps his struggles on the low. He is honestly, like our dad friend.

Then there's me. The female lead singer. The only time I play an instrument is when we do ukelele cover. I could play the acoustic, but the job was taken. As of now, I live with Pidge and her brother Matt, our techie.

I yawned as I stood up off the couch, finally finishing my home school work. Luckily, Matt and Pidge were constantly here to help me, they always pass at the top of their classes. But today's work was a breeze, trigonometry is just a breed of algebra and geometry anyways.

"Hey Vega, rehearsal will start soon, wanna ride over to Lance's with me and Matt?", Pidge offered, sipping ginger ale as she held her midi fighter in the other hand.

I nodded and stretched, "Yeah, lemme just get ready."

Once we were all in the car, Matt drove off. He looked at me through the mirror and spoke, "So Vega, you excited to see Lance again?", he teased. Matt had a crazy idea that Lance has a thing for me, but the thing is, Lance has a thing for everyone
