It's been a very tiring week since bringing Serenity to the palace and yet she has not had any sign of waking up. We think it's due to the shock but as I wait every day, I feel something inside me wishing to see her eyes waken hoping to see those orbs of delicacy sparkle in the light. The doctor has come in every day just to check on her and I haven't practically left this room unless it's to use the bathroom or sleep but even then I can't sleep. I've been sleep deprived because I'm scared something will spontaneously happen and I don't want that. It makes me nervous. She's been improving so far but I don't want anything bad to happen so I've kept my eye on her at all times.

If you want something done right you have to do it yourself. That's a motto I follow, scrap being a King. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. That's why I haven't hired any maids to keep an eye on her because that's my job since she's done so much for me, I feel I need to give her something back.

She's done so much and I can't say it enough.

It was weird when I was told that she's never been to a single meeting of mine. How did she even know about those meetings? I don't tell them when I come, I just arrive. Unless she doesn't visit the town centre much then that would be understandable. She didn't want to associate herself with most of the town so she secludes herself in the outskirts. She didn't want to get hurt.

Yet she did. She's lying here with scarring on her back which may end up being permanent. It wasn't pleasant to look at it but I endured it as it was partially my fault as my carriage hit her. Then again it brought her to me. Before the hit though she had already injured herself. Her knee was scratched but now healing nicely and the fever had gone days ago but the emotional pain will always be with her. She was still on an IV and regular doses of vitamins were inserted into her body which was one of the reasons why her fever had gone so quickly. Her immune system was getting stronger.

When my carriage hit her, I think that the strike caused her to shock which could be one of the reasons she's still unconscious or the fact that she's still weak and recovering. We will never know.

"I wonder what colour your eyes are going to be? Blue? Green? Brown? It's always been something that intrigues me. It's because the eyes are the thing that shows all the emotions, sadness, happiness, shock and joy. It's all in the eyes. Pain and suffering are noticed in the eyes that's why many people look down when upset. It makes me wonder what emotion will I see in your beautiful eyes. I know I can't judge them as beautiful because I haven't seen them but I already know. Your eyes will be just as beautiful as you are. The past is the past, it's the future that matters and I want your future to be happy and peaceful like the meaning of your name. Serenity Beaumont." I muttered quietly so that she only heard it but she's unconscious so she probably won't hear.

I check her IV over and put in her dose of vitamins. I had to do it three times a day to ensure that her progress remained at a constant pace.

Then one of the maids brought in some food for me. Strange, I've never met this maid before. She's shaking slightly and it might be because of the other women getting fired. They were fired because they kept flirting with me constantly and I could tolerate it before but not anymore. They've even tried to get me in bed but I won't let them so I fired them. I made sure that they had a job elsewhere but I couldn't manage to have them always flirting or in my case, it felt like they were harassing me.

"Do not be afraid. Come in." I assured her and she did closing the door behind her. I summoned her over here and asked her to sit next to me on the sofa. She sat beside me, still shaking.

"What's your name?" I asked trying to create a conversation with her. She looked very scared but she also look kindhearted.

"Stephanie, your highness." She replied hesitantly and I nodded. She wasn't like the others. She didn't wear the kind of things they did, her attitude was different and she didn't look down on Serenity.
