The Waking Morning

As Zeke started his journey back to Brygenwerth he knew that last nights hunt was fruit full in deed due to the fact that he was covered in more of the beasts blood than his own and that to him was always a good sign to him "when will this forsaken land be cleansed from this awful plague" Zeke said to himself inspecting his Burial Blade for any damage and sadly it did manage to break a little but it made the blade part look like it had a crook made for the head now which made it look cooler in his mind.

Zekes POV

As I walked up to the gate to the mighty Academy I could see some of the students in the embankment with their heads in the many books that are around but that didn't matter that much to me anymore as I looked up I noticed Gehrman and Maria having a nice chat just beside the doors to the main entrance doors, so I decided to walk up to them to see what their up to 'why did I have to think that Maria was cute, I mean common I only met her like nearly 2 months ago but we did bond over the nights out on the hunts I guess' as I was in thought I accidentally bumped into something "ow what was that?" I asked myself but looking down I realised that I knocked Rom over and along side her was Micolash who was trying to hold back a snicker, "waw Rom you really are vacuous in sight and mind hehe just like I thought" Micolash laughed but I just offered her my hand " hey Rommi and Mic how's the studying going" I said and it looks like they both realise who I was. "Oh Great Ones its you Zeeks" Rom shouted and hugged be tightly and Micolash just said hey and waved "so the hunter returns, still have your sanity do ya" Mic said jokingly 'I think' " yes I'm still sane so don't think you to can go dissecting me any time soon" I joked back and they both laughed "sorry to say but I don't think we would find much anyway" Rom halfheartedly said "hey now that's just harsh ya know its not like I failed studies" I said knowing what they both would say "yes you did you managed to fail most of the studies" they both said with a huge sigh at the end "huh guess I did a way sorry to cut it short but I have to go speak with Master Willem but see you to around right" I said and they nodded back before heading off to their study spot.

After walking a but more I got stopped by Gehrman "listen Zeke after you finish your business with master Willem come down here we all have something to discuss" he said and I nodded then started to head off to the Building one in I saw even more students dissecting or fiddling with different equipments and experiments so I walked past some of them and said my greetings to those the acknowledged my presence until I found myself at master Willem's office so I knocked twice and waited a second before knocking twice again signalling that it was me "ah Zeke come in" I heard muffled through the door but walking in I was greeted by Willem and Laurance dissecting something on the table "well good morning Bowen how's was the hunt last night"  Laurance  said with a fain smile 'still creepy' I though before replying "we had another couple of cases with old Yharnam and some more in reports of hunters suspecting the healing church of spreading the scourge through the town" I replied while giving them some of the beasts eyes that I managed to collect "will we need to take care of these hunters Zeke" Willem said while inspecting some of the eyes "no sir they are just speculating at this point and don't have any sort of evidence to prove otherwise so in my opinion they are harmless for now" I finished before Willem and Laurance started to talk between themselves so I swiftly said my fair wells before leaving and shutting the door behind me "always a laugh with them to" I said to myself before laughing a little and started to head back outside to see Gehrman and Maria.

When I made it back outside I saw that Ludwig and some other hunters started to talk with Gehrman as well so I was going to turn around but caught the sight that they wanted me over as well so I started walking over before getting shouted at my Ludwig "HURRY UP ZEKE!" So i started running over instead of walking, when I made it I was greeted with a awkward silence "well did they tell you of our mission" Maria chimed in heading next to me "no why what is it that we have to do now?" I asked confused looking at everyone "not here everyone meet us at the Workshop we will talk there" Gehrman said gesturing me and Maria to go next to him as we made our exit. Like that we were gone from the Academy and was now in the woods leading back to cathedral ward and on the way we found something that was strange and that was a villager that looked like he was having a hard time breathing but as we got close he started having a headache or something becuase he gripped his head and fell to his knees "sir do you need help" Maria went to take a step forward but me and Gehrman both stuck our hands out and looked at eachother "a host" I asked and he nodded so we both stepped forward and got our scythes out into their short blade form and got into positing on either side of him "we give you blessing to be reborn into a better world" I said bringing my blade into his left side and Gehrman his right  then connected the handle portion together as he started sprouting some of the snake heads but before they could take a bite we sliced our blades out cutting his head and some shoulder of in a X shape as the body fell on the floor.

Other than the host most of the walk as uneventful until we made it to the entrance of the cathedral ward and that was when I was told about what our mission was "we are going to a village to see if they have a great one giving them power" I started and they both nodded "after that then we kill one discreetly and see if he has eyes on the inside which means hat they all could so we kill the entire Hamlet and take a sample of the great one while we are there which means that we will most likely be targets for anything that is still moving" I finished and they both looked at me amazed "yes that's right Zeke well done" Maria said sarcastically and I just lightly pushed her that's not nice I'm still smart ya know" I said and they both had a light joking laugh which I joined in knowing that it was just for fun. "Who else knows if this plan" I said out of curiosity "us three Ludwig, Laurance and master Willem" Gehrman said while searching for the lever to take us to the Workshop floor "ah hear it is" Maria said flipping the switch which made the elevator go down "and do you know of what else must be done " Gehrman said looking both of us in the eyes and we nodded in response not daring to say a word.

When we made it to the Workshop floor we went round to the field to find Ludwig, Laurance and about 30 hunters crowding around the side of the building where they could all see the two speakers "everyone you are all gathered here today to embark on on of our greatest tasks yet which is to investigate a area known as the Fishing Hamlet which is about 3-4 days walk from the city and there we are tasked to find out if there is a Great one there and if these people are helping it to stay alive" Laurance finished "now we know all of you here are true huntsman and huntresses here to help but we are giving you one chance to stay here and keep an eye on Yharnam for us" at least 10-15 people put their hands up "ok all of you then leave now so we can get our supplies ready to go" Gehrman shouted which made all those that wanted to leave, leave which only left 20 of us hunters left to go through with the mission which wasn't all that bad now that I think of it.

A/N: welp here is another chapter to this story that's less work for me and if again you have an suggestions for anything on this story do tell I'm all ears and don't worry I won't bite but my pet Ludwig will hehe
