Only You Can Save Him...

...His Kokoro was destroyed, nothing could be done at this point.
All (Y/n) could do was feel the Kokoro that still zapped and electrocute the tips of her fingers, causing her to flinch in pain from the stinging and burning.
She then caresses his face, feeling his soft cheeks and soft flowing gold hair, his eyes still shut.
She wanted to see those sparkling blue orbs again, she wanted to see that cute smile of his again, she wanted to hear him sing again, she wanted to feel his hugs again...
But unfortunately at this rate, she'll never be able to again.
She lays her head on his damaged chest, hearing the sparks fly as her tears fell from her cheeks to the broken Kokoro of her creation.
Len Kagamine wasn't just a creation though...he was human, just like (Y/n).
He felt so many emotions so far, he has talents of a human and he had the heart, not just an iron instrument, but an actual heart...
He loved (Y/n) with all his heart and he was now gone.
As (Y/n) mourns for Len, (F/n) comes out of the woods, limping and holding her broken arm while holding a knife.
She stared in despair as she watched her old friend crying for her lost one, her lost creation...
(F/n) comes up from behind...and hugs the upset scientist, dropping the knife to the ground.

"Hey...hey (Y/n), don't cry..."

"He's gone...Len's actually gone...I thought he would survive the fall...but his body was too weak to manage it, I made him too weak to survive in this world...I'm a failure"

"(Y/n)...don't give up"

"H-Huh?"

(Y/n) looks up, meeting her old friend's eyes. (F/n) softly smiles back at her.

"Try try again...remember when I first told you that those many years ago?"

"...yeah...yeah I do! You always told me not to give up that easily...you always motivated me, (F/n)..."

"Heh...I don't like seeing you quit easily, Kid~"

(Y/n) had missed that old nickname, even though it did irritate her back then. Then again, (F/n) was still taller than her so...
(Y/n) smiled as she got up, wiping her tears away.

"Yeah...Thanks (F/n)"

"No problem, Kid...now let's fix this hot boy~"

be best friends once again...
The two go back to (Y/n)'s basement lab, carrying the surprisingly light android with them.
After placing him on the table, (Y/n) puts her gloves and goggles on, ready to operate on him once again.

"Alright...pliers"

"Pliers!"

(F/n) nods and hands the pliers to her friend, watching her as she cuts the cables connecting the iron heart and carefully taking the heart out of Len's chest.
(F/n)'s eyes widened...her friend had improved so much these past years.
(Y/n) lays the pliers to the side and rubs her hands together.

"Alright, this is the hard part...screwdriver"

"Which one? This one or this one?~"

"Neither, that's a vibrator and a sonic screwdriver..."

"Geez, take a joke Kid!"

It took them a few hours, but after fixing the heart up, (Y/n) carefully places it back in Len's chest, hooks it up and seals the hole inside.
Soon, he was all brand new...but will he work?
Only one way to find out...
Before (Y/n) turned him on, she gasps.

"Oh! I almost forgot!"

She then takes out the one important thing from her lab coat pocket...a small green chip.
(F/n) made it while she worked on his heart, so I guess you could say it was a bonus.
(Y/n) places it inside the chip slot, then closes it, her hand shaking a little bit.
Many thoughts went through her head and it made her nervous.

Will Len work again like he did before? Will he even remember her...?

(Y/n) gulps, shaking in her shoes.
(F/n) noticed this and wrapped her arm around (Y/n), giving her a confident smile.

"Hey hey...he'll work Kid, I know he will. You know why? Because you're his creator, you're the only one who can save him..."

"Y-You really think so?"

"Of course...and if he doesn't, try try again~"

(Y/n) nods, then approaches the lifeless robot.
She takes a deep breath...and presses the button.

His blue eyes had opened.
