All eyes were on Kara Danvers as a silver tiara was placed on her head as the music played. Jake, Mike's best friend grabbed her hand and took her to a red carpet that lead to the stage outside on the quad.

The blonde immediately knew was happening. Her boyfriend Mike may be a tough guy with being the Captain of the football team and all but his heart was pure of gold. Whenever she wasn't feeling well, he'd show up at her doorstep with red roses, chocolate, medicine and of course him.

Everyone knew that the two were dating, they've been dating since their freshman year and they're seniors now but they were skeptical when Mike didn't ask her to prom yet. Sure couples like to keep things private but when you're the captain of the football team or happen to be dating the captain of the football team, word gets around fast.

Kara couldn't believe what was happening. She felt like a real life princess and Mike was her prince. The one who comes to rescue her when she's in danger aka the bullies of Midvale High, the one who surprises her every so often and so much more in words the blonde couldn't even explain.

Her face was flushed and she couldn't stop crying. She felt so loved and cared for that the feelings overwhelmed her. Safe to say that she finally understood what it meant to be loved. All the times her friends would come up to her and rant about their dates and how the actual date went.
