We Were Destined to be together

PART V

A new day and new beginnings. But my habit of coming late to the set remained the same. Today we have to shoot some light hearted family scenes which are my favourite. Although being an actor I vlove challenges but I am at ease when we shoot funny scenes because we act like our real self. I still remember the first day of the shoot how everyone was a stranger to another and we barely talked to each other. But after all these months we have come so close to each other like it's just a second family for us. We laugh we share jokes play pranks celebrate each other's birthdays sometimes cry too. I really feel lucky to have them in my life and having a work place like this where you feel home. My thoughts were disturbed by my director's call. The shot was ready and we were prepared to shoot. The shoot got over and we clicked some pictures as we all were decked up for the party sequence. But I have one more scene to shoot and I am quite tensed about it. It's a song sequence between me and of course Pratiksha. Although I have rehearsed for it but I am a very bad dancer. This idea was installed in my director's head by our fans who trended #WeWantRiyAnDance. Well RiyAn is the ship's name of our onscreen characters Riya and Aman and there is another one for our offscreen pairing too. It's called AksHu. Our fans are really crazy. They send combined gifts for us even though we are not together in real life but I must admit I really like those gifts. I remember once they send a pair of mug for us on which our photos were printed with those ship's hashtags. I use that mug and it's really dear to me. My reverie was broken when I was called for the final rehearsal. Pratiksha was already rehearsing with the male choreographer although she doesn't need any as she is a trained kathak dancer. I joined them. It was hard for me match her level. The dance was a bhangra on the song Butterfly. We rehearsed for half an hour and then came the terrifying moment for me. I was sweating badly.

Don't worry. We will do well. It's not a battlefield that you are so scared. Come on it's just a dance.
By saying so she pressed my hand hard and gave me the much needed confidence.
