"This is very serious you know?"
"I do."
"Where did you hear about it?"
"I overheard them talking about it."
"And why did you decide to tell me?"
"Our families have been friends for a very long time and I know both of them very well. I wouldn't want them to get into this kind of business. They are my friends."
Sheriff Dawn looked at me for a while without saying something. If he could tell that I was lying about them being my friends he didn't let it show on his face.
"Alright," he finally said " I will look into it."
"Thank you." I smiled at him one last time and then left his office. My heart was pounding. Partly out of nervousness but also because I was excited. If they really got caught they would be in so much trouble maybe they would even be send away, I thought. Than I could finally have some peace!
