There had been a simple good night.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

It had been a month.

She was still waiting for a reply.

Deadlines were ganging up against her in spectacular fashion. So much so, that she was starting to have projects that she hadn't even known they'd signed, magically end up on her desk every day. The pile on her desk had grown exponentially in the space of one week and she no longer knew if those were tears of joy or despair when she plopped herself down in the cafeteria.

Food was a luxury she couldn't afford in such dire times.

Yet, she needed food to survive.

She needed to survive to finish her projects.

She needed to finish her projects to focus on Namjoon.

Though the long sigh that left her lips would have begged to differ.

After all, rather than touch her lunch, this was the umpteenth time that she had checked her notifications. Another sigh escaping her lips as adverts filled her screen rather than the usual adorable text, with the even more adorable picture of his lunch. Much to her colleagues', Jia and Yumi's, amusement as they looked over to her, "Lover boy's still ignoring you?"

"He's not ignoring me," she shot back before sighing despite herself once more.

"Excuse us," Yumi mock-gasped before resting her chin on her hand. "He's pushing and you're pulling with all your might."

"One of us has to," Mina slightly bit her lower lip. "It's been three months."

"And you've never met him," Jia added matter-of-factly.

"He's busy," she whispered but they wouldn't hear it.

"Who is too busy to see you at least once after three months of texting?"

"Kim Namjoon."

Mina's answer had been on the tip of her tongue.

However, she had not been the one to utter that special name. Rather, she could only bite back a small yelp as Hoseok set his tray down next to her. His gaze set on Jia and Yumi as they stared back at him mid-chew. Their eyes evidently blinking for further explanation as he sat down, "Namjoon likes the thrill of the chase."

"He's not currently chasing anything," Yumi pursed her lips.

"Yet Mina is."

Her breath caught.

After all, Hoseok had been much closer than she remembered. His head cutely tilted to the side as he smiled at her. Despite herself, a slight blush crept across her cheeks as she took in her superior's delicate features. His trademark smile tickling the corner of her lips into a smile of her own, "I'm not chasing him, per se. I'm trying to chase him."

"Then, you should try harder," Hoseok mused as he rested his chin on his palm. "When's the last time you texted him?"

Jaws dropped.

Spoons fell.

Scoffs unanimous as Mina folded back against her chair. Her colleagues' condescending gazes drilling holes into her face despite her ridiculous attempts at hiding behind her spoon, "He should like me more than I like him."

"Are you supposed to use telepathy to decipher that?" Yumi clucked her tongue at him.

"Phones are there for a reason," Jia reminded her.
