Mia's POV

It had been over a week since I had last seen Carter. His mom had came round a few times, but he didn't accompany her. I didn't think much of it though, I mean, he does have a life. All I had been doing was taking a few online classes and hanging out with Kennedy. She was a good friend, despite what Carter had said. Everything that I told her the first day we met stayed between us. Right now, I was on my laptop, browsing Twitter, as I do when I'm alone. The doorbell rang, but I let my grandma get it, it was probably a student of hers anyway. I could hear the door open and close, then someone coming up the stairs and knocking on my door.

"Enter." I said, refreshing the feed on Twitter. The door opened and there was Carter, with Cameron.

"Hey." Carter said and I smiled at him.

"Haven't seen you in a while." I said and he nodded.

"Yeah, I've been caught up with...things." He replied and it was my turn to nod.

"Not to be rude or anything, but why are you here?" I asked the two of them. Carter opened his mouth to speak but Cameron beat him to it.

"Carter wanted to hang out with you but he was too much of a wuss to come by himself." Cameron told me and I laughed. A small blush appeared on Carter's cheeks and he shoved Cameron's arm.

"Well I would love to hang out with both of you, just let me change out of this." I said, gesturing to my sweatpants and t-shirt.

"Okay, we'll be downstairs." Carter said and they both left, closing the door behind them. I searched through my closet, trying to decide what to wear. Eventually I decided on black skinny jeans, a blue t-shirt that said, 'No boyfriend, no problem' in black writing and black combat boots. It was sunny outside but there was still some clouds so I grabbed a light denim jacket and shoved a black beanie over my dark brown hair. I went downstairs and joined Carter and Cameron, who were talking to my grandma.

"Bye Mima, I'll be back later!" I called into the house as we left.

"Why do you call her Mima?" Cameron asked as we walked, going no where in particular.

"She doesn't like being called grandma, she says it makes her feel older than she already is." I told him and he smiled.

"Cute." Cameron said and I rolled my eyes. Eye rolling was a regular thing now that I had met Carter and his 2 friends.

"So where are we going?" I asked them.

"To get food." Carter told me.

"Taco bell!" I shouted.

"Chipotle!" Carter shouted.

"Taco bell!" Cameron shouted.

"HA!" I yelled to Carter.

"Whatever. You only like Taco bell because it's Mexican." Carter mumbled.

"Chipotle is more Mexican than Taco bell dumbshit." I said and Cameron laughed.

"Taco's are Mexican though!" Carter argued.

"Yeah but the Chipotle sign says Mexican grill on it!" I argued back.

"...Whatever." Carter sighed, defeated. Cameron patted his back and laughed again.

"You shouldn't argue with a girl Carter." He said.

"Thanks Cameron." Carter replied, sarcastically. We continued to walk to Taco Bell, just joking around and being nuisances. It was fun though. I liked it. I didn't have many friends back in Arizona and the friends that I had deserted me as soon as I started getting bullied. We arrived at Taco Bell and I got my usual. Cameron and Carter ordered and then we went to a table to sit down. After 5 minutes of being there, 2 crying girls came over to the table and asked for picture with Cameron and Carter. Remembering what Carter had said about him being famous on some app, I put it down to that. The 2 girls left and went back to their table.
