Addyylyn's POV

"Who was that?" I smile. He walks towards the couch and plops down beside me. I furrow my eyebrows at something that's in his hands.

"And what is that?" He turns to look at me and then at the envelope in his hands.

"Niall. And I'm not sure what this is." He says. Niall? Wasn't he supposed to be on a date with Layla?

"Can you give me a moment?" I ask, standing and walking towards the door. I open it and close it behind me.

I take my phone out of my back pocket and dial Layla's number.

"Hello?" She whispers. It's very loud wherever she is.

"Hi Layla! It's Addyylyn. Um, how's your date going?" I ramble.

"Um, well we had to reschedule. I'm a little busy. I'll call you later. Bye."

The line goes dead. Well, that was weird. I open Harry's door and walk back inside. I look around the living room, but he's no where to be found.

I walk into the kitchen, but he isn't there either. I find a hallway and start looking for the bathroom.

"Harry?" I call. Nothing. I begin to open a door, but am interrupted.

"What are you doing?" Harry's deep voice bellows. I turn around and flash him a smile.

"Looking for you. Found you." His gaze doesn't soften. I stroll closer towards him until I'm only a few inches from his face.

"Are you okay?" I ask, searching his features. He doesn't respond. He walks towards me as I back up until I hit a wall. Shit.

"Don't go in that room." He warns before pecking my lips.

---

"So, what were you and Styles doing when I rudely interrupted?" Niall jokes. Perrie and Sophia grin at me.

"Wait, you and Styles?" Louis throws his head back in laughter. Liam and Zayn crack a smile. Eleanor only shoves more salad in her mouth.

"It's not what you think." I say breathlessly. It's true. We weren't really doing anything. It was just a heated make out session.

"Then why don't you tell us?" Eleanor says through her food. I giggle and shrug.

"We were just making out. It's nothing like that." I answer finally. Liam laughs and shoots a look at Niall.

"Looks like you ended it before it began." Liam nudges Niall's shoulder.

"Guess who?" Hands cover my eyes and warm breath trickles down my neck.

"Hm.. Louis?" I smirk.

"Nope. Try again." I can hear the grin in his deep, smooth voice.

"Oh! Is it that asshole, Harry?" My vision comes back and I turn to see the familiar dimpled smile.

"Correct." He sits down beside me. Liam sends a warm smile in my direction.

"What are you all talking about?" Harry asks. My cheeks are beginning to burn and my eyes are begging everyone to keep their mouths shut.

"You." Niall smirks. I don't know how exactly Harry would take all of this. Us talking about him. Us talking about the two of us, whatever we are.

What are we? I don't want to ask. We hasn't asked me on a date yet. I assume we're friends. But, I thought even that was impossible two weeks ago.

"What about me?" Harry questions, a devious grin appearing on his lips. Niall shifts his gaze from Harry to me. I beg him silently not to say anything.

"Why you were late." Niall sighs. I let out a deep breath and mouth a 'thank you'. Harry gives him an uncanny look and shoves his hamburger in his mouth.

"So, how was your night? What'd you do?" Louis smirks. Harry drops his hamburger and glares at Niall.

"What'd you tell them?" Harry growls. Why does it bother him if his friends know about us? Whatever 'us' is to him.

"Ask your girlfriend." Niall barks. Harry rolls his eyes and turns to me.

"What'd you tell them?" He asks, as calmly as I'm sure he can.

"Only a vague summary of what happened." I answer truthfully. He raises an eyebrow.

"Define vaguely." He breaths.

"I told them that we made out. That's it." I shrug, stabbing my salad. He nods and turns back to the group.

---

After lunch, I've been in a really shitty mood. I think it's because Harry was so defensive about our friends knowing about.. whatever it is we are.

Harry walks me to my car in silence. "I'll call you." He leans down to kiss my lips but I turn my head and his lips press to my cheek.

He pulls away and furrows his eyebrows. "Everything alright?" He questions. No! Nothing is alright. You're being an asshole about all of this. If only I could tell him what I'm thinking.

"Uh, yeah. I'm- I'm fine." I lie. I've always been a shit liar. He shakes his head and presses me against my car with his hips. He rests his hand above my head.

"Okay. So, now that you're done lying. What's wrong?" He grins. I sigh in defeat and look down at my hands.

"I just- why were you so defensive about what happened last night when the boys asked you?" I ask quietly, avoiding eye contact.

He puts a finger under my chin and makes my previous action impossible when my eyes find his.

"I'm a very private person. I don't like anyone knowing my business. It had nothing to do with you, love." He smiles and kisses my nose.

"Okay. And, please don't be angry when I ask. I'm only wondering." I begin. He nods, encouraging me to continue. "What exactly are we?" My hazel orbs bore into his green.

"Well, I don't know. I guess maybe if what I'm wanting to happen is ever going to happen, I should ask you on a date." He grins.

"Hm, depends. What are you wanting to happen?" I tease.

He smiles a dimpled smile and looks away. When he looks back he bites his lip. "Go on a date with me." He says gently.

I press my lips to his quickly and then push his chest. "Gladly." I say before climbing into my car.

Before I can shut my door he puts his hand in the way, grabbing it. He leans down and gives me a devious smile. "You didn't think you'd get off that easy did you?" He questions before attacking my lips with his own.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow at seven. Wear something nice." He winks.

"Harry, I'll see you tomorrow. Why'd you insist on telling me that now?" I grin. He rolls his eyes and shrugs.

"Bye babe." He slams my door shut and stands there while I back out of my parking space.

Harry's POV

I can't believe I asked her on a date. This goes against everything I've been telling myself not to do. Maybe I should cancel. Yeah, I'll just cancel. I dial her number.

"Hello?" She's smiling, I can tell.

"Um, hi." I reply awkwardly. She giggles through the phone, making my knees go weak. No. Stop. Remember why you called.

"Did you miss me? Just had to hear my voice, huh?" She laughs.

"Actually," I can't bail on her. I don't need to dwell on Allison forever. She would've wanted me to be happy. "You're right. I missed you."

I can hear her laugh breathlessly. "Well, I have to make dinner. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" I can just imagine her breathtaking smile.

"Yeah, okay. Have a nice night, love." And I hang up.
