"Elisa, are you sure this is a good idea?" Goliath asked as the Manhattan clan strolled down the street. The young woman laughed slightly at the gargoyle.
"Ya I'm sure it's fine Goliath, I don't think anyone is going to realize that you guys are real," Elisa replied as she double checked on the box she held in her hands. "You doing okay in there?" she asked tapping the top of the box. A small rather annoyed voice replied back.
"How do you think I'm doing as you stomp around?" the voice asked from within the box, making her roll her eye's. Ya he was fine.
"What makes you think no one will reckonise us exactly lass?" the older gargoyle asked as he stared at the strangely dressed humans walking about this night. Elisa looked back at Hudson with a slight smile.
"Well for one tonight everyone's going to be dressed up for Halloween so we can just tell them your in costume," she replied almost confidently. When the voice inside the box she was carrying spoke up again.
"So why couldn't I be walking about exactly?" the tiny voice snapped in even more annoyance. Elisa glared down giving the box a small shake grinning a she heard a small thud.
"Because Puck, the appearance I can explain but the floating in midair is a bit harder to explain." Elisa answered "besides we're trying to keep Demona from spotting you."
"Yeah, besides its harder to spot you when you're this size from the air," Brooklyn added raising one of his clawed hands up. The only reply they could hear was a small very annoyed sounding sigh. As they continued to walk down the sidewalk they turned a corner to a almost empty street where a tall manor shaped shop sat on a corner. It took up three building spaces and had a smaller building in front of it. Goliath walked over to Elisa to ask her a bit more about this plan of hers.
"Elisa are you sure this human can help us?" Goliath asked "To keep Demona form finding Puck that is." He looked around toward the skyscrapers to make sure that they weren't being followed.
"Well not exactly," she emitted "But I know all the places here in New York and if there is anyone who could help I am pretty sure we would find them in here." she tilted her head toward the little shop that stood in front of the manor. A heavy sigh escaped Goliath that was not he response he was hoping for, he had wanted a direct yes. Not there is a slim possibility. Brooklyn walked ahead to open the shop door a bit enthusiastically,
"Well then what are we waiting for?" he asked pulling open the door with his clawed hand. There was a soft ding of a bell as they all walked inside a cheerful woman's voice greeted them upon entering.
"Good evening and welcome to the Ravens Gate shop," a young woman dressed in medieval looking white and green dress bowed her head to them. She had wavy long black hair and piercing green eyes. "My name is Forest how may I help you?" she asked. All of the gargoyles blinked a bit in surprise they hadn't seen anyone dressed in such clothing in years. Goliath spoke first holding out a hand as he talked.
"Well you see we were wondering uh..." he paused unsure of how he should begin to ask for assistance. The shop keeper raised a slender eyebrow at him she knew there was something that he wanted to ask.
"There is no need to stutter I have been asked many odd questions from people who come into the shop," Forest chuckled "Believe me nothing you can say will strike me as strange." The smallest gargoyle got a rather amused grin on his face as he whispered to Broadway.
"somehow I seriously doubt that," Lexington waited for the reaction of the shopkeeper as Elisa spoke up.
"Well we're going to be asking a pretty strange question," Elisa walked over to the counter placing the box on top of it. "Now I'm going to have to ask you not to freak out on us okay?" she asked as Forest gave her a peculiar stare before glancing back down at the box placed before her. "What we want to ask you about has to do with whats in this box-" Still a bit confused Forest reached out lifting up the top of the box to see what was inside of it. As she lifted up the box a small figure stood up and stared up at her it was a small looking man who was dressed brightly with long silver hair, pointed ears and dark eyes full of mischief.
"Oh!" Forest gasped softly unable to hide her surprise, this was the first time anyone had brought something like this into the shop. Everyone braced for her to start freaking out as the small man began to float out of the box before her staring intently at her. But to everyone's great surprise a bright kind smile graced her lips as she eyed the tiny creature.
"A fae child," Forest breathed looking at him "And a rather cute one at that." The fairy floated closer to her as she held out her hand for him to land on it. He placed both his hands on his waist as he looked up at her.
"What did you call you call me?" the fairy asked making her blink in surprise that he spoke.
"I said you are a rather cute Fae and I am very charmed to be in your presence," Forest smiled as the fairy looked away for a moment rather pleased at her response before floating up to place a small kiss on her cheek.
"I like her..." The fairy replied floating off her hand.
"where on earth did you come across this creature?" Forest blushed looking over at the others as the fairy began to float around her shop looking at all the odd trinkets.
"That's not important right now,"Elisa replied "We need to know if there is a way to hide his presence for awhile?"
"To hide his presence? From what exactly?" Forest asked as if she began to really look at the gargoyles. "I have the feeling you brought more than the fairy into my shop..." she replied locking eyes with Elisa. "Who are all of you?"
